The production value of these videos really go up when Kim is on set. Also I'm impressed, usually Kim is just on set and mostly quiet, but here she was half the dialogue. It was a very enjoyable change.

I'm a little confused, they actually fixed and sent out the missing items pretty quick. Their discord was very helpful and responsive, so you should have gotten them all in your mailbox. And with the new update, a lot of the bugs and glitches did get fixed. I'm having so much fun with this game. *I'm playing on switch, just for reference.

Getting the rewards would require being connected to the internet so Kim's items aren't there because of her offline issue. Granted it might still be a problem once that's fixed, but thats 1 step blocking her from her rewards.

They said that the game thinks she’s offline even though she’s actually online and connected to the internet. That’s what’s causing the frustration.

@@MiraBoo yes, that's what I was referring to as her offline issue. That issue of it not recognizing her as online would have meant her rewards wouldn't be sent to her as it wouldn't connect properly to recieve them. Good news though - Wood tweeted the recent update fixed her game connection issue and she got her items. Wood still hasn't gotten his items though.

I've been playing on game pass and I've gone through almost everything in the base game. The non-answer to your bug ticket is one of my big pet peeves. It's been long enough for them to come up with a relevant canned response instead of "we're working on a lot but we're not going to acknowledge the actual problem you're having."

They said in the games discord that this problem was fixed with the Scar update. However, you have to be online with a save cloud account and your date and time have to match realities date and time. Even if your switch is online it won't register as online for people who've time traveled and not gone back to normal time.

It’s in EARLY ACCESS, right? Gotta remind some folks of that. Also…the early access bonuses that you pay for will NOT be available to the free players next year. So far, I’m 185+ hours in since release day, got the Ultimate Edition, and (thankfully) all the items/bonuses included. Edit: For personal (inner child) reasons, this game’s lore is so relatable…actually teared up a few times. Stuff that kids won’t get…but adults who’ve gone through some stuff will…😅😢❤

and the new twist in the Scar update is great... even if it's immiedatly followed by a timegate quest

First Question: did you download the Update with Scar? The Developers fixed the issue with the packs, because you wheren't the only one who didn't recive it. And then 2. For not getting the blue chest opened, look into the game main menü to events, if there you are questioned to connect to the internet do so and then try to open the chest again (step away from the Chest until the connection sign above it dissapears bevore opening the main menü)

If they are offline it wouldn't let the blue chest open. It would also stop them from getting their items. It's an online game.

To get online, you need to connect to the Internet no matter the Internet status your console. And regarding missing founder pack items just keep writing the support.

Some of these errors were fixed in the update on the 19th such as the floating things in Remy's store. 55 hours is on the low end from what I've seen. Switch is also the most glitched system from what I've seen. It would be a hard sell for this to be a "released" game. However being early access this is a pretty polished game. In the same breath there are a lot more errors that you got lucky enough to not see. Great video hope you enjoy it more in 1.0.

55 is definitely on the lower end. I'm currently about 400 hours deep and loving DLV

I'm having a lot of fun with the game. I bought the ultimate edition on the switch and received all my items, but there was a bug that stopped some players from receiving their rewards. They released an update to fix this, and released new content including seasonal stuff :) Kim probably isn't getting her items and isn't connected to the internet because her switch date might be wrong. It needs to be synced and correct to open chests, if she's time traveled for AC it's going to mess up dreamlight valley because the game 'breaks' if you time travel.

At one point Kim says “yeah” with a bit of an Australian accent. Your speech patterns are merging😂🤣

I know that if you're playing on Switch and you've time traveled (as a lot of AC players do), Dreamlight Valley will always say you're offline and won't save to the cloud.

You have to check your mailbox to claim them. Also a new update came out and lots of people tried to log in at the same time. Meaning you most likely were playing offline. It's not really the games fault

They recently released some fixes along with the Scar update, it included fixing those that didn’t receive their bonuses. Maybe check again now? I was lucky, I got the ultimate pack on release day and got all the bonuses.

I bought the $50 pack on Switch and got everything right away with no problems, in case anyone was wondering (since they got the $30/$70 versions). Also wanted to point out that in the recent update, they said they’d be rectifying missing founders rewards, idk if that’s happened for anyone. That being said, I’d say the game is definitely worth the $50 I paid for it. The Switch version has been crashing a lot the past few days, but besides that, I’ve really been enjoying it. Make sure your switch is on the right time Kim!! Mine was on a different date from time-travelling on acne but….. I did have to start again from scratch I think.

You have to make sure you're online to claim your rewards. If it thinks you're offline then you won't be able to claim rewards and chests. Also any time traveling inside the game messes things up.

I’m guessing that Kim’s issues at least are because she isn’t on the current date on her switch. But since the game doesn’t support time travel she would have to restart to get it to the current date. I had the same issue as I time travel for animal crossing. Lucky I figured it out early so restarting wasn’t a huge pain

There should be a solution that doesn't require a restart. There can be valid reasons to change the date/clock on the Switch. It shouldn't affect the ability to play this game online.

I restarted too.. i also got lucky and realized early. No big deal. As far as “there should be a solution etc etc.”. This game is in pre release. It’s not intended to be bug free.. and time travel not being okay with the game is to prevent people from accessing exclusive content early. For a pre release game there’s tons there, and they have already put out new content that is story based AND holiday based. Pretty cool imo.

They just released a big update (with the halloween stuff) They said that would fix the missing rewards for higher tiers. I only bought the base game, so I didn't experience that bug.

Some of the glitches and stuff in this video were fixed/addressed in the latest patch. Example, the floating plates in the restaurant. ALSO, i would like to add that the company has been very vocal and communicative with the community about bugs and helping to solve problems. So glad that it is early access and we can see the commitment they have to fixing and keeping the game going forward.

Kim looks so good with brunette hair, it suits her so well, so cute :D I only bought the standard version on steam so I didn't have this issue, however, I am upset that I can't go back and purchase the Ultimate edition for the difference, they're asking for me to pay almost $10 more than if I was to outright buy the ultimate edition. So to break it down standard is $29.99 and Ultimate is $69.99, the difference should be $40 but no they're asking me to pay $48.99 to get the ultimate edition, I want to support the game becasue I am really enjoying it but not under bs money grubby practices like this.

I will no longer play this game until my Disney character stops getting up my butt when I am gardening with them. It’s completely useless to me. I have to stop every 10-20 seconds because I get interrupted by my gardening partner shoving their face in mine, or getting so close I accidentally speak to them. Sure, you could choose not to hang out with someone but that’s not really fair to me, so I quit until they learn some personal space. It’s just too weird.

If you've time travelled on the switch (for ACNH) then it can really mess up your DLV - crops not spawning, Pixar Fest not work, etc... Develops have said its low priority fix because they don't want people TT. A lot of people have had to restart the game completely.

the “magic” of this game feels very similar to the feelings i had playing the first kingdom hearts game as a kid which i think is probably my favorite part

Thank you so much for this video I bought the biggest package and have crash since the beginning since the latest update I can play a total of 10 minutes. So needless to say I'm going to miss out on all of the time limited items. I really had my heart set on collecting each and everything as it was released.

My wife wanted this game, thankfully it was on gamepass. She's liking it a lot, she did get soft locked at one point and had to start over. Then she had to wait for some kind of patch to continue. Idk

Sometimes when you click on the chests it will say you are offline, but then you have to just keep clicking the chest and it will "connect you".

My chests think I’m disconnected too. If I hard close the game and go back in then they work again but waking from sleep they think I’m disconnected.

If you are playing on switch, I recommend trying to use touch controls to retrieve your items from the mail. I was also unable to claim my items until I tried swiping on the screen instead of using my controller.

Did you ever get the currency? I'm hoping this was recorded a week ago or something. It is a great game but unfortunately on the switch even after the big patch it crashes soooo much.

I myself and stuck on a quest for a character because I cooked a quest specific fish into the wrong meal and I can't get another to spawn. I reported it to Gameloft and all they did was send me step by step instructions on how to do the quest. It was so unhelpful.

As someone who grew up playing Disney infinity religiously, I can safely say that dream dreamlight valley gives off serious Disney infinity 3.0 vibes 🤔🤔

Does anyone else's game continually crash on Switch? Mostly it's when I've just completed a big quest, backed out of the outdoor renovations or placed an orb in the monument. I do regular saves now after each little bit I've done but it's super frustrating when I've put a lot of effort into something when there are small to no opportunities to save then all my hard work is undone and I have to go through it all over again. I do understand that it's an early release and of course there will be bugs but it's just super annoying to have to do things multiple times especially when I've put a lot of my time into it

Unfortunately these days companies are releasing buggy unfinished games and filling them with a lot of micro transactions and then they finally fix the game or finish it 1 or 2 years later. This is sad to be honest because this tell us they care more about the money they grab from us rather than offering a quality product to us, because this is what we paid for.

I just love how the title of this video conveyed so much annoyance and within one minute you’re both talking about how great this game is 😂 I hope you manage to sort out the issues with your founders packs! I’d suggest also checking what date your switches are set to - if you’re on some past date from playing ACNH, put your clock forward to current time and see if it fixes it. Worked for me

This game is still in early access and still needs a lot of work but it works for me. Give the developers time to work out the kinks. I love it. Edit: I bought the Ultimate Edition for both my Switch and XBox and have had a blast. I play daily but haven’t gotten very far either but I still enjoy it daily.

I know I couldn’t find mine at first, it was in a storage box in my main menu, not on the property itself. It was so weird. But I think it was an option in settings randomly.

Yup! I too unfortunately purchased the $70 version and I've been in a rage ever since. I had to delete my Twitter app because it had become a daily habit to go on and yell at the devs lmao. My tickets, submitted 5 weeks ago, have yet to be addressed. I've never felt more hoodwinked by a game before and I'm no spring chicken haha 😅

After a few minutes of playing it I realized it was completely broken and was confused...I'd seen all my favorite acnh streamers playing it. After going back I noticed they were all playing pc version. Gameloft knew it was broken on consoles but their marketing strategy seems to have tricked us all. I blame the streamers too! I didn't hear one of them admit it's unplayable on switch and I suspect the only keys given were for steam and Xbox 😤

I was able to collect my rewards, but I was the middle tier. One thing I recommend for quick money is to move all your trees to one location. I made a tree grove and put wall-e's garden next to it, she I can collect the fruit very quickly and sell then come back to recollect without having to run the entire map. Super easy, super quick.

Kim reminds me of a Disney character -- teenage angst, artsy-fartsy protagonist who realizes that her arts and crafts supplies can come to life and help her solve crimes. We'll call it, Kimvestigations. C'mon I only had 5 seconds to write this.

Kim loves to draw and make crafts so is very artsy. Her stuff is really cool though. I have some of her plushies.

Looking up this game, it seems like you're paying to be a beta tester at this point. I'll check it out when it launches as free to play.

I have over 355 hours in dreamlight valley and brought the ultimate Edition. It took a few hours of play to get my ultimate Edition items. The worst thing about the game is the amount of crashes, which gameloft have claimed are trying to fix and have said its very complex. Also donald 🤦‍♀️ omg his hissy fits get so annoying, he was however fixed slightly. Just as many tantrums but for a shorter length of time. But he just never stops 😆. Apart from bugs/glitches it's an amazing game. Im totally hooked.

Regarding Premium Content: I looked into this when we (me and my wife) purchased the game for switch. I was hoping we could purchase the $80 version and then both be able to access all the premium content. We found that multiple people on the same switch can all access the basic premium content on a single switch. However, only the account tied to the purchasing Nintendo ID can access the Bonus Content for Deluxe or Ultimate. So if you purchase Ultimate on Account 1, but decide to play on Account 2, Account 2 can play it with the Basic Bonus Content. But only Account 1 can access the Ultimate content. Saying this, I have heard of people who have purchased Ultimate and only after this past weeks update have been able to access the Ultimate Content. However, we were only able to even open the game on a Primary Switch with a secondary user. So I could download it on to my Son’s Switch which I am also signed in to, however it would not allow him to open the game.

A. I bought the 70$ pack and got the rewards right away when I started the game (been playing it since day 2) B. You need to be online to get the rewards C. The latest update was supposed to give the rewards to anyone who hadn't yet gotten them (which you have to be in online mode) D. The rewards come from the mailbox next to your house E. The game is early access, it's gonna have issues, we're glorified bug testers
