One of the concepts for her room was that it had a secret amusement park among the boring stone landscape so that Luisa could play like a kid again since she's basically been doing all the heavy lifting for the village since she was five.

I really like how they didn't make Luisa all gruff and "masculine" just because she's tall and buff. Not that being masculine is bad, but a person's physical appearance does not have to correlate with their behaviour. She still wears feminine clothes and is generally a very sweet, emotional person.

You know what I really think played into Lusia's insecurities? Isabela. Luisa is seen doing manual labour for the village and isn't even thanked. Isabela shows up and grows some pretty flowers (which don't actually contribute a great deal to the village) and has people almost worship her. (don't get me wrong Isabela has her own issues) but I can see how the difference in the attention and praise given could have negatively affected Lusia's mindset, in that she clearly thought she wasn't doing enough despite the stress she was under.

My friend Samuel said it perfectly. I love Luisa so much! The rare times there’s a notably tall / physically strong female character in media they tend to be masculine/ butch. Which is a valid way to show a character, however it upholds the idea that strength = masculinity, which isn’t true. Someone can be feminine and strong! I love Luisa’s character and relate to her struggle to constantly prove her worth to others.

Id love to see her find someone to win her heart shes just an adorably sweet cuddle bear and deserves to be treated like a queen! I can see her with someone who makes her feel taken care of and someone who can make her feel special and calm her nerves like her uncle felix does for her aunt peppa.

Bruno and Luisa are the two that need the most hugs outta the family One thing that really bothers me is during the proposal scene Luisa’s trying to eat and Mrs Guzman disrupts her meal like dude that’s not cool I like how Luisa picks up the donkeys and they’re just rag dolling like yep we’re used to this no use fighting

"I think you're carrying way too--" Luisa picks up Mirabel and squeezes her tightly. "--much." I love that bit, especially when Luisa admits to feeling weak and makes that pouty face. What can I say, I'm a sucker for those moments when powerful characters show a more vulnerable side.

My favorite in Luisa's song is how she always protects Mirabel from everything

5:43 she protected abuela from the collapsing casita. Luisa never held any grudges against anyone for the way she was treated. At the end she got exactly what she deserved.

The brief shot at the end of the movie with her relaxing after helping out is what completes her character arc. We see her having one of those moments of peace she craves. No matter what role you play in life, you may be carrying a lot, but knowing that you need a break once in awhile is vital for your happiness, peace of mind, and emotional stability.

I am soooo in love with this gentle giantess.

She is such a treasure 👑 never knew someone so strong and so gentle at the same time

To be honest if Susie from Deltarune had a voice, I imagined HER having Luisa's voice and yeah, Luisa is one of my favorite characters. I'm glad she had a break from all this

I...I do have to ask, just how useless is this village that they can't do the most basic tasks without rushing to Luisa to do everything for them?

Shes such an awesome character since she is so vulnerable inside but has to be so strong outside. She is literally carrying the weight of the world (the town) on her shoulders. They have all become so reliant on their gift that they dont even know who they are or what they like outside of their gift.

I love how Mirabel’s journey started after Luisa told her to start at Bruno’s tower.

In a sequal I would like to see Louisa find a guy with a lot of emotional support for her. He would teach her mindfulness and avoid burn out.

I like that in the opening song that she is described as "The beauty AND the brawn"

Oh, and btw, another really cool and clever detail about Luisa's physical appearance I discovered a while ago: The pattern along the lower fringe of Luisa's dress actually resembles dumbbells! You can most clearly see it in the family pose @ 1:39.

No child shouldn’t be subjected to insane amount of pressure. I get why your children needs to do chores because you want them to be more responsible but to actually be lazy and let your child do all the work is just mental abuse. I feel bad for Luisa that she had to suffer abuse from Abuela and the family.

Personally, I don’t do much analyzing of work, but compilations like this work wonders for character analysis and noticing small and subtle nods the creators add to flesh out their characters and show how they interact with others Gotta appreciate the time and patience it takes to make these too 👏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾
