We stayed in a preferred room on our last trip and loved it!! We were in Barbados, having easy access to old port royale and the skyliner was great! 11/10 recommend :)

I stayed there for the first time in August (I left the day you posted this video) I loved it. Hope to go back. I agree the quick service food in center town market is not good..

Randy, which village did you stay in? We're going next month and booked Jamaica due to it's close proximity to the gondolas. I'm worried that it'll be too far from the restaurant, main pool, pool bar, etc. Also was looking for some input on busses at this resort. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

@@kimberlyberlin4999 Jamaica is further from Old Port Royale than other sections such as Martinique or Barbados, but it's not that far of a walk from Spyglass Grill in the Trinidad section. It is very convenient to the Skyliners though. There is an internal bus system with a stop in each section. The park buses will make stops at each section as well, so it's important to build extra time in for that especially if you're boarding right at park opening or park closing.

@@kimberlyberlin4999 Hello, I am sure you will love the resort. There will be pluses and minuses to every location. I stayed in Aruba (building 51) it was right in front of the bridge to the main building/pool area so it was a good spot. There is a Jamaica building right there too. So it depends on which building you are in. My kids are teenagers so we mostly used the small pool in Aruba because they didn't care about the water slides and that. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves. The main pool can be busy. There is a drink refill station in each country. Sometimes they were hard to find. But you don't really need to walk to the main buildings if you don't want too. We only ate at the center town market. So I can't comment on the other restaurants. But we found the food was not that good. We had a couple breakfasts a lunch and dinner there. I wouldn't recommend the center town market unless you are stuck and just want something real quick. We drove to Disney so we didn't take the buses. I found its a 6-7 minute car ride to any park. Hollywood studios is more like 2 minutes. But if you are right by the gondolas that would be better. If you do drive. You have to pay parting at the resort but that includes parking at the parks. So you don't have to pay again. At check-in the hotel offers $10 off each night ( in the form of a gift card) if you forgo housekeeping. They will still bring new towels, soap, take garbage etc if you call they just don't clean up or make beds. Which was fine with us. If you have any other questions let me know. Enjoy your trip..

Thanks! Personally, I would choose Barbados. It's very close to Old Port Royale where the main shopping, dining, and themed pool options are. Many of my clients prefer this section for their stays as well.

Rivera resort is it going to moderate of a deluxe resort ?

Great question! Most of the preferred rooms are in Barbados and Martinique, which are the closest to Old Port Royale.

Nice video but I hate the new theming there. The Riveria is simply hideous and the food court décor is downright ugly. Guess we won't be staying at the Caribbean again. Too bad as it used to be a great resort.
