These model builders are amazing, not only the detail, but to keep everythong the same scale must be a monumental feat. Well done, true artists!

I was one of the model makers that constructed the interior of this cutaway model in the late ‘90s. The exterior and top deck were made over seas then shipped to Southern California were we fabricated the interior. After it was finished it was shipped to Florida. It was damaged upon arrival and my boss and I flew to Florida to fix the damage before the opening of the port and the arrival of the real ship.

Wow, that's really cool! That must have been a big project. This video is one of the most popular of my random uploads. People love the model. Hopefully passengers will be able to check out the cutaway model again soon.

Love the design of the DCL ships. Hopefully they will be cruising with passengers soon!

0:20 - I would really hate to have one of those cabins at the bow under the water line. The ship runs into anything you're dead. Crew quarters maybe?

Hopefully they don't run into anything at top speed. Yes there are crew quarters down there. And the medical area in the stern of the ship.
