Who is able to get some product and who is looking forward to the flood born set in a couple of weeks?

My girlfriend and I managed to pre-order one Floodborn booster box each, really excited to get them at our local TCG. The Merlin-Shapeshifter card looks sweet!!!

The reason for the added word of Chosen to befuddle is because of ward. Technically ward says the card can’t be chosen, and befuddle before the errata didn’t choose a card. It just returned something without “targeting”.

Thank you doing (what I think is) the first wave 1 vs wave 2 quality comparison video. There are a few vids showcasing the errata and misprint fixes, but they don’t get into card stock feel/quality differences.

No enchanted but still great box

Managed to get 2 2nd print booster boxes at msrp on preorder. We in the UK dont get wave 2 until Q4 perhaps a little sooner. Also have a Chapter 2 booster box on preorder. Wave 1 wouldve done a lot better if it was truly sealed. But ill have a booster box of both just in case.

I've been trying to research this but no such luck. Got a wave 2 first chapter Lorcana. In the lower left hand of the borders we notcied some differences. Some say en.1 and some say en.2. Does anyone know what the reason for that would be if there is one?

En 1 is chapter 1. En 2 is set number 2 “floodborn “. The third set will say. En 3.

But one chapter 1 there is zero difference from original print run to second and 3rd wave of that same set.

Is there any idea on how much this game is being hyped up by resellers buying everything and selling it for at least double retail versus how much players are actually going to be sticking around playing in 10 to 20 years I like to buy some of these but I haven't been able to find anything for less than double retail and as a casual TCG fan I'm not willing to do that I'm wondering though for those that are hoarding these if there's any sort of ideas so far or idea yet anyway on if this is going to be something the long-term hold on to like OG pokémon and OG Yu-Gi-Oh or if this is just something that resellers are marking up so much and in reality the player base isn't really willing to pay that much and it might just die out in 5 years kind of thing

The game won’t die fast unless the company does something dumb. So many big tournaments already and they will continue to get bigger. I bet by set #4 majority of supply issues will have been resolved. Disney is a huge company with infinite resources. And I think by Feb you will see most everything close to retail. The only reason the stuff sells so high is cause people still keep paying the high prices.

Is first chapter still worth it / needed for meta decks? Or better to get singles local shop selling for $200

Yes 1st chapter will 100 percent be needed for meta decks. But do not over pay for boxes. I say max $10 per pack and 200 per box if you have zero of the cards but outside of that I would recommend ordering singles at this point ifbu can’t find products at msrp

It wasn’t a reprint, it was a restock. They held back some inventory from the original launch

In this video you are incorrect. This video is from a long time ago during the reprint. The challenge video I made recently with chapter 1 was the “restock”

Re: the tape, it's so buyers can tell if the LGS has stolen from out of the box. Too many folks have bought re-sealed packs, so RB is just putting one more obstacle for them.

Yea but this tape can be easily replicated. There’s nothing special about it. That’s the main issue with it.

@@TheHaddonfieldRegistry if you try to peel the tape you will peel the paint on the box. So it will be hard for people to pass it off as wave 1. But good news is that wave 1 long term should be same price as a collector most likely

That same cut is on wave 1 as well in other Boxes.. it varies from box to box there is zero difference between the 2. Do not let someone over charge you for “ wave 1” boxes.

What makes a card a “super rare”

Almost every card from the reprint was cut pretty badly up top

I only experience this from one box that we had. But the other ones were not as bad and I also experienced this and some first print wave boxes as well.

Yup prices have changed a lot since this video. The cards with the discard mechanic especially. Cause it’s just not good enough to keep up with the meta

There was no pack design difference… the color difference from one 1st chapter booster to another is based on where it was produced. So you will get slight color differences even all thru out the first print run as well

@chrispytcg I saw differences in the sleeved booster packaging, so thought the innard pack would have a difference, too. UPC placed differently on the sleeve, plus dated differently.

The boosters were the same from what I’ve seen across all products. But this video was comparing booster boxes and the contents of booster boxes

Actually, I did inspect the packs, but because there was no difference in the card, nor the box nor the pack themselves, I felt like it was kind of pointless to include it in the video because it seems to be pretty useless information to include, but if you can pinpoint the exact moment where I cut that out of the video, I will send you 10 free packs of first chapter 🫶
