I think Lea definitely deserves the National Artist Award (based on the criteria for it), but since the president of the Philippines has to approve it (sign a decree) and she is currently producing (and for a short time performing in) a Broadway musical that criticizes the Marcos regime from the mid-60s to mid-80s - it seems highly unlikely.

It will always be 'Reflection' for me. Everytime Lea sings it, it's always perfection. Dad really went all out for his daughter's wedding. To have Lea perform for her wedding, wow!

She's not underrated though. She's popular. And as far as I can remember, she was even published in the old elementary books as a popular Filipina Singer. I forgot if it's Sibika At Kultura or English Books? Madami siyang achievements inside and outside the country. It's just that iyong genre ng kanta na bihasa si Ms. Lea is not that really prioritized for most of the local Filipinos unlike Pop or Rap Music. Hehe..

This is just emotional for the most part. Lea Salonga is iconic for many reasons. Great reaction as always.
