Its fun to see the experiences of cruising with Disney for the 1st time through someone else's eyes. Really enjoyed your videos. One minor clarification to your tips, is that you cant access your stateroom as soon as you board if you have one of the earlier port arrival times. We have always boarded the ship around noon and don't believe the cabins are ready until 1:30pm.

I had been wondering how you let people know that you had prepaid your tips. you cleared that up. I was concerned the staff would think I was just cheap.

LOL thats what I was afraid of as well :) I must have asked the lady helping me with the reservations 100 times LOL she assured me a lot of people prepay and the staff was use to it :)

Great tips...we are going on our 2nd cruise next year. Been on 3 others, one of which was the Disney dream. The dream outdid Norwegian or RC

I see the official 400 us there now. I just,asked you about the soda earlier. should have, waited a few hours. lol. so I'm still not clear, unless you pay room service won't bring soda or water, no drinks are free room service. loved this video guys, you did great

We can't believe it 400 :D Room service will bring you drinks but they will bill your state room :/ so we just got our free refills from deck 11 then ordered room service so they wouldn't charge us for a drink and it worked out great :)

Hi! Thanks so much for your helpful videos. A few questions for you: 1) Do you prepay tips by speaking to customer service? I didn't see a place on my online reservation (unless I missed it somewhere). 2) Do you recommend purchasing trip insurance? 3) If you decide NOT to eat at one of the restaurants that evening or are late getting back from something else and decide to eat at Flo's or the buffet, do you need to inform guest services? 4) Lanyards - I read they have to be purchased unless you are a returning Disney cruise guest or a member of their club. Has that changed? You mentioned you received them complimentary. 5) We are traveling with my mom, and we are in one stateroom. Can she have her own credit card tied to her Key to the World card? Or, can she bring cash? Which leads me to another question... does the ship accept cash at the bars/gift shops/etc.? Last question, Do you need a passport or does having your birth certificate with you work? This is our first time on a cruise AND traveling outside the U.S. Thanks so much!

Your welcome :) yes I prepaid the tips by calling customer service and paid over the phone. We did not purchase trip insurance but we honestly did not look into it :) We did not inform anyone that we would not make it to dinner on the first night . We did go to dinner on the second night and the waiter did not say anything to us about having to inform them of our plans :) We took our own lanyards that we got from Disney ( we are annual pass holders and they gave them to us a few years ago ) . You can take any lanyard you would like you can find them online and i'm sure a lot of stores sell them. Just be sure to purchase one that has the little plastic pouch so you can insert your key to the world card :D your mom should be able to link her credit card to her key to the world because there are NO cash transactions other than tips if you choose . You can even put the tips on the keys to the world if you would like ( the only tips you can not pre pay are the room service ) so we did tip the room service person. We went on the Bahamian cruise so we just needed our birth certificates and our state Id's. We do not have passports so we would not be able to go on any other cruise ( mexico, jamaica or any other than bahamas and castaway cay ) . Just finished watching your series. Very good footage! Can't wait to hear your cons. We go in a week on the same ship. Jolly is very crafty. The door wreath was very cute and unique. Did you guys take pics with any other characters?

We have the second part of this video which you will hopefully find entertaining this time it's a story that happened to jolly during diner. Maybe next time we should splurge for 24.00 snorkel LOL or maybe check the "life bib " :D

thanks :) We would love to but now it's time to save up for the next one. You should definitely record your experience. We wish we would have recorded the buffet to show everyone. You won't believe how long the buffet tables stretch and just when you think there is no more ,the buffet continues ;) We hope you have a great time :D we only took it the first day but you might want to take some sort of motion sickness pills or bracelet. Don't worry if you forget it we herd that they will give you some free of charge if you ask for some at the front desk. HAPPY SAILING :D :D :D

you might want to look into it but I think when you buy a new GoPro, you can turn in the "old" one for credit. I think you get $100 towards the "upgrade"

A good rule of thumb for tipping the porter is $2 per bag, and for room service it's $1-2 per person in the room. We always get $2 bills from the bank before we go. The cast members are always amazed by them, and it's less loose bills to deal with.

Wow, thanks for the info, we got $100 in singles at the bank ( what they were probably thinking ) lol . We did good then, I was worried the hole time about that, never been on a cruise so your info is a big help to others as well Thanks for the great comment !

she does take a lot of pictures on her phone and usually when we are filming she goes through them. there is no internet or cell service on the ship so she is usually using her disney cruise app you can download on the ship. It tells you what activities and shows are happening and what times :D thank you for asking so nicely I didn't feel I had to explain it to other people who were quite frankly very rude with asking or making the observation :/ You should definitely download the app if you are ever on a disney cruise :D
