Just got off a Merry Time Cruise from SD on the Magic. The Happy Holiday Deck party was pretty cool. All the characters in all new attire singing and dancing. With the story of Goofy just wanting to spend Christmas with Max and then at the almost end Max comes outta no where and surprises his dad on deck and they celebrate and dance together.

I’m not Australian, but I have cousins that live there and I have never heard of them celebrating Christmas in July. They celebrated December like everybody else. It’s not a season. It’s a date.

I’m Australian and we don’t celebrate Christmas in July we celebrate it in December, at Christmas time, like everyone else - just wanted to put that out there. I was lucky enough to celebrate Christmas last year (December 2023) on the Disney Wonder, we were told the ship wouldn’t be decorated and we were all so disappointed but I’m so grateful and thankful that Disney did decide to decorate the ship for Christmas and although not officially a Merrtime Cruise, it was so magical.

We in Australia celebrate Christmas in December like every other country. Some people do celebrate in July just because it’s winter and snows in a small part of Australia.

I can’t wait to see Disney Wish on Christmas special and I did in Christmas in Disney Fantasy.

Going on a merry time cruise on 11/30 and this video just got me so excited. 15 days away!

Who told you Christmas is celebrated in July down here? Both Australia and New Zealand celebrate it in December just like the rest of the world.

lol they very much celebrate Christmas on December 25 in Australia. They just have Christmas in summer 🤷‍♀️

We Australians aren't super happy about not getting those Merry Time cruises - we celebrate in December!!!! But we're just pleased as punch we can have a little Disney without having to fly halfway around the world!

Hello! Unrelated to Christmas cruises but I’ve seen online that the ship I’m sailing on (The Wonder) has got dole whips onboard. I know you’ve been on the wonder and wanted to confirm and see if it’s true as I haven’t been to Disneyland and would love to try one. Thanks for the insights as always! :)

We did the Wish in November this year. The Christmas events were not that good and not much decorations and no real gingerbreadhouse but a fake plastic one. The Dream and Magic were much better in the past.

Don't know who told you Australians celebrate Christmas in july but they were wrong, that is just a marketing thing that happens here. In Australia we celebrate Christmas in December when it supposed to be celebrated. Hopefully enough of us complain and Disney will do it merrytime next year.

One of the things Disney didn’t get right about the Aus/NZ season - we actually celebrate Christmas in December as per tradition, Christmas in July is an added extra celebration to possibly enjoy a winter Christmas theme. Disney missed the mark with this one, many of the families on the Christmas cruise are disappointed there is no Christmas theming.
