I read a book with a title like this. It was deeper than I expected. The next queen is picked from a different region each time so whenever there's an eligible prince all the young girls of that region are sent to princess academy. This time its a remote mountain region so the academy is a random run down building on the mountain. A tutor comes to teach the girls how to act like a noble lady and whoever does best will have a chance to dance with the prince though he can pick any of them to marry. The protagonist is a bit of a loner because she's the only one forbidden to work in the quarry by her father after an accident that happened to her mother. However through the princess lessons she gains an education (ok as I'm editing this, I cut off this section cuz someone told me I'm basically spoiling it so read on if you want to be spoiled or just go read it, it's called Princess Academy) and realised the people of the quarry are being cheated because the stone they quarry is being bought from them for far less of its value. She barters with the merchants and learns that they too still need to feed themselves so she sells it to them at a fair price. She improves the lives of her people, does best in princess training, gets a pretty dress, meets the prince and has a young romance with a cute local boy. Her new friend ends up marrying the prince as she is secretly a noble and she was childhood friends with the prince and they were in love with each other. Her father heard the mountain people would be where the new princess would be picked so he sent her there ahead. It's all a nice story and the queen in this land actually has administrative power and a seat in government. One of the more delightful surprises I had when I was little.

Everyone thought she was dead and that blondie(her relative)was going to succeed the throne and will later own the academy but no Olivia, Princess Olive was alive after all this years.

POV: The school of good and evil, but without evil. The dialog of the main character and the “princess” is literally same. And even though that’s a cliche, I still love it)

Beautifully done. All it's missing is her wearing glasses first then not needing them when she becomes a princess
