Dishwasher Not Fully Cleaning Dishes - Top 5 Reasons & Fixes - Whirlpool, GE, LG, Maytag & More
Dishwasher Not Cleaning Dishes Properly? - Top 5 reasons and EASY DIY instructions to get your Dishwasher back to working order.
Reason #1 - Spray Arm: The spray arms (upper or lower) are designed to spray the water on the dishes, which is hot and includes detergent. If the holes become plugged or the spray arms are damaged, they will not be able to clean effectively.

Reason #2 - Filters: Every dishwasher has a filter (or multiple filters) to help remove food particles from the wash cycle. Most filters are designed to clean themselves, but there are certain conditions when the filters can become clogged, causing the washing machine not to clean as effectively as it could.
Reason #3 - Detergent Dispenser: A faulty detergent dispenser could be the reason that your dishwasher is not cleaning dishes properly. If the dispenser cannot deliver the detergent to the wash cycle at the right time, or it doesn’t release all of the detergent, it might not get the dishes as clean as they could be.
Reason #4 - Water Inlet Valve: If this part becomes clogged or fails, it could prevent the dishwasher from cleaning the dishes properly because it doesn't allow enough water into the washtub.
Reason #5 - Circulation Motor: This is the motor that circulates the water through the dishwasher. It has a driveshaft on one end and terminals for power on the other. It may or may not include an impeller and is located on the bottom of the appliance. If the dishes aren’t getting cleaned, it could be that the motor is bad, and the water isn’t circulating properly to clean them.

How do you find out if there's enough water? What water level should I expect to find inside the machine when it's running? If the spray is not forceful enough, what part is responsible? I cleaned my dishwasher with a product for cleaning and now it has a loud noise. A pump is failing?

What is the model number of your dishwasher? When is it making the noise? Have you checked to see if there anything may have gotten caught in there? Is the machine draining the water like it should? Have you had any error codes come up on the display?
Awesome

I have a whirlpool dishwasher that doesn't send the correct voltage (110-120v) to the harness going to the circulation pump during a wash. Anyone have this issue?

What is your model number? Have you recently had a power outage? Does your machine run at all?

@appliancepartspros WDT730PAHZ0 Dishwasher runs through all cycles and everything works, except the wash from the circ pump My initial thought was the common circ pump, but when I tested the harness with pump disconnected during a wash portion of the cycle, there was not 110-120v at the harness. I haven't checked the board yet because I spent too much time with the pump, but I will be returning this week.

Have you tried to put your dishwasher into a diagnostics cycle to see if that would pull up any error codes?

Do all new dishwashers have the ability to put on a diagnostic cycle?
That filter looks like a Bosch.
Ok so what are the other reasons.
