Forget the dry cycle. Open the dishwasher after the final rinse and drain. Pull the racks out for a few minutes and allow to air dry . Works well.

Hey guys. I don’t have a GE machine, mine is a “Lamona” which are the manufacturers that the kitchen fitters use. Not much luck on here with them 😂 With regards to opening it up to let it dry naturally may work on some things (and save a bit of 💷) … but glasses or mugs with a concave base trap puddles of water so I’ve been taking all that sort of stuff out and laying it out on a tea towel - it’s a pain in the 🫏 - *Another thing that can stop your machine getting up to the temperature you set it at to actually do it’s job is affected by sensors in the machine that somehow can tell how dirty the load is, sooo don’t rinse off beforehand! Cheers.

I have a newer Samsung dishwasher that pops the door open for the last 10 minutes of its dry cycle. Works well enough. Sometimes scares the crap outta me.

Pretty good one Dan that's for sure that rinse agent is a very important.... A Bosch dishwasher cannot be opened up in the middle of the dry cycle if you do you have to restart the dishwasher

My dishwasher doesn't dry, he just leaves them in the countertop rack. I wouldn't complain about that, but he stacks the dishes in complete opposition to the way the rack is designed!🤦♂️

My house is so economy, that it never had a spot in the kitchen for one? The last owner, just stuck an RV dishwasher in near the corner of the kitchen, right near the 90 degree counter space? They didn't even bother to reinforce the countertop, either? Put a heavier single sink in and the counter is ready to plumet? It's made of particle board, of course?

Pressure water switch has no business drying the dished it a switch that allow water to enter the unit. Drying issues is usually related to a heating element, thermostat, fan motor or a vent

So how does a pressure switch effect drying ability?
@dansproshop
Жыл бұрын
It judges the water level in the basin. More water, more weight, more pressure on the switch. And vice versa. So when the switch sees an empty basin it activates the drying cycle

And that pressure switch along with the relay that drives the heater coils definitely fail. All electro-mechanical stuff fails at a higher rate nowadays with the sheer lack of QC and chinanomics.

If you can catch it right when the wash cycle ends and dry cycle begins, and open the door, a big puff of steam will exit, followed by perfectly dry dishes.

So the P/S is not allowing the pump to drain the water, so the heat cycle can begin? Too much water in there when it does the heating cycle?
