Tbh if it wasn't for that illusion the traveler would definitely hold their own with using the 2 or 3 of the 5 elements they own, idk why hoyoverse keeps nerfing the traveler in that aspect, like the traveler used I think geo and anemo on a navia cutscene to stop some rocks but not against the 4th Fatui💀

@@itriyum It's kind of disappointing that we rarely get to see the Traveler use the elements they should have learned by now. They're more of an afterthought, but I feel like it wouldn't have made much of a difference. Maybe bought time, but it wouldn't have allowed them to hold their own for that long. Arlecchino, even if she was holding back, was just too powerful. Imagine just before that she managed to block a full speed greatswored from Freminet without even moving an inch. That amount of momentum in a weapon should have staggered her even a bit, but she just blocked it with her hands and that was it. If she was dead focused on just one person (us) without any distractions, we wouldn't even be able to get close to her, let alone sneak in a hit, because she'd see everything coming. And even if we are able to catch up with her (which is a big if) and maybe sneak in some hits, that still leaves us with how to even stop her from doing domain expansion when all it took for her to do so was a few seconds of standing still. It won't be surprising if during the hits we land, she just needs to block and hold our sword once so that we'll end up in the same situation all over again.

I love the detail of having fremi use the side of his blade instead of the edge. It's as if to say, even in this situation, he can't bring himself to fight father without hesitation.

Dont get me wrong I love this fight scene, but I reeeeally wish the Traveller would have used their elements here, even if they dont win against Arle, losing to her without using the elements feels...idk incomplete? lol We used Anemo and Geo against the 11th Harbinger, let us use SOMETHING against the 4th then

honestly I just think that Hoyo is afraid to commit to exactly HOW Travelers elements work outside of the gameplay mechanics. Can he use them all at once at will? Or does he actually have to resonate at the Archon statues in lore as well?

That's a tini-tiny-itsi-bitsy of a fudging issue. If traveler were slapped by the Chino, who wasn't even fighting in full force - traveler is straight up, no question about it - fudged in Natlan, once they'll face El Capitano.

My theory (or my hope, I guess) is that we won’t have Capitano as an adversary. He’s been described as honorable and seems almost personable from the descriptions of interactions we’ve gotten, so I’d love it if in Natlan, we team up with Capitano to defeat the archon.

@@y3sy3day Exactly, and from what Mika said about meeting him during the Knight's expedition, he seems pretty chill when you don't go against his goals/values - so I think it'd be sick if we teamed up with him to fight Murata bc she's a genuine Celestia simp or something like that

this boss fight reminds me of Melania from Elden Ring, the slow walk in the start, the transformation with wings and immediate dive attack, it's not a bad if they took it from that game

@@AnnaAttemptsArt1 Just to add also. I feel like there might be a situation where we could have moved by cutting the strings, but by the time you would have thought of that, Arlecchino would have been right in front of you already. So it's basically a death sentence if she was serious.

The people going "on noes, Traveler has no chance against Capitano", seem to forget this isn't exactly a new thing. Traveler got clapped by Ei in their first encounter and by Scaramouche 168 times. MC was only able to overcome them through some sort of McGuffin and no doubt it'll be the same with Capitano or whoever it is Traveler ultimately faces in Natlan.

Only fights Traveler has actually won totally solo against a big threat were against Signora and Childe. Every other fight has had someone or some Deus ex machina helping the traveler pull through. This time the 3 siblings weren't enough considering how strong Arlecchino is and how Traveler didnt have asspull time loops, Neuvillette powers, power of friendship, zhongli powers, venti powers or power of friendship to cover their ass.

Scaramouche was a god at that point. It wouldnt exactly have gone that way if it was 1 v 1. I think Traveler is squarley in the 5th Harbinger range in terms of strength at the moment. So yeah when hes facing god like beings he needs help. But he notably has been getting stronger.

Tbh it’s funny how lumine’s entire adventure flashes before her eyes when that scythe swing in front of her nose

it is pretty annoying that we've not seen the Traveller really use their elements in a while. back in Mondstadt they clearly used Anemo quite a bit during the Childe boss fight they used Anemo and Geo at the same time during Inazuma they seemed to exclusively use Electro (mostly against Ei... who is immune to Electro during her boss fight...) despite their affinity for Dendro and Hydro being fairly important plot points I don't think the Traveller was shown really using the elements at all for the duration of Sumeru and Fontaine

if #4 is that overwhelming just what monstrosity is damsellete

Imagine fighting your hardest just to get hit with a genjutsu and realize it was all pointless.

the fact that we've fought literal archons and various deities yet can't win against arlecchino, I need the lore girlies to unpack this

traveler got help most of the time tho -against Dvalin, traveler got help from venti, and dvalin was already weakened to begin with -against Osial and his wife, traveler got help from Adeptis and other Liyue charas. -against Azhdaha, the one we fought was just half of the real Azhdaha, and he just came out from being sealed. plus, traveler got help from zhongli and the other half of Azhdaha, which is Kun Jun -against Raiden shogun & ei, traveler got help from the combined "will" of inazuma's vision holders and Yae. -against Scaramouche, traveler got help from the combined "wisdom" of sumeru's citizens, passed through Nahida's mini akasha -against Apep's warden inside Apep, well.. its Apep's warden, not Apep herself. that thing is weak and traveler got help from those 3 aranaras. -against the all devouring Narwhal, traveler got help from Neuvillette. the only time the traveler won against a "strong" opponent in 1v1: against Childe and Signora. Childe is the last harbinger, Signora is strong but she underestimated the traveler a lot. people gotta understand the power scaling in genshin. when Nahida said that the top 3 harbingers powers can be compared to gods, I believe she's talking about gods above archons, not just archons in their prime era. Arle is 4th, close enough to gods-level power i'd say. she got Crimson moon bloodline, an ancient khaenri'ah dynasty bloodline. People from that dynasty messed around with alchemy, abyss, and other out-of-teyvat stuffs. She's DANGEROUS. even if the traveler used the elements they got so far, doubt they can do anything against her. traveler's mastery over the elements isn't as good as archons after all. I cant imagine traveler using a water gun against Arle lol. a bit OOT but there's Skirk and her master as well, they came/they used power from beyond the world. that's another level of power.

Last living descendant of an Ancient Khaenri'an dynasty that used to turn orphans into some kinda cursed pseudo-descender living weapons that were made with the express purpose of killing the gods and celestia until the eclipse dynasty overtook them.

Lumine should get a new sword instead of the Dull Blade.

Using neuvillette is really a shame

idk understand why the traveler doesn’t use the elements he/she learned, they have 5 now and could do some cool interaction between all the skills and elements they learned

@VideoGamer8 TB hasn't swapped from bat to Lance in a single moment but they use their powers. More recently they were fighting Aventurine with the lance. The traveller does nothing however. At the very minimum the devs could do if they want to stick to the dumbass lore of needing to attune to the statues is to have the traveller use the element of the region and not a shit sword. Make the traveller feel like a threat, someone who is capable of actually fighting because in every cutscene they're pathetic.

Idk how tf Traveler's going to face Capitano in Natlan 😂 Not to mention Columbina & Dotorre

Theyre still being a jamoke and rocking that dull blade. Also, apparently they forget they can just 5 different elements at will. Not saying they would have beaten Arlecchino but, just tryna brute force a W with a dull blade is plot induced stupidity tbh.
