I'm an American citizen born and raised and all I have to say is that BTS is the Greatest thing that I've heard and see in 40 years the ones bitching about BTS is nasty and disrespectful people and BTS is absolutely responsible and respectful to everyone they try to talk to and the people that jealous is not good people

I've have to admit, that I was not wellknown with Kpop. Just because in my country are people with small brains in public places with judgements about language, asian people, kpop.etc. So when I saw the few things about kpop, it gives me a few from coloured hair, make up etc. So my interest wasn't there. Till my attention was about the culture from kpop. So I met BTS. And now my attention is only for these 7 precious men. I saw their being trainers, praktizing very difficult choreos, their exhausting performances. My admiration grew and grew. These men has so much more difficulties to overwin. Discrimination is one of them.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Never heard of the first three which goes to show they don't matter. I'm American and never listened to One Direction. Never liked boy bands but love BTS. They are not a boy band nor K-pop. They are their own genre. As far as Tucker it was more about putting down Biden than BTS. There are plenty of us who are sick of his policies that are leaving many of us struggling. I wasn't happy the guys went. Although I understand why they did but many of us feel they were used for political purposes and it is never wise to get involved in politics. Especially American politics.

I don't want to get into politics, but I do think that spotlighting BTS during May, Asian and Pacific Islander month, and making people aware that even for the biggest, most popular band in the world, racism remains a major hurdle, was not inappropriate. And BTS were the last of many Asians invited to speak with Biden during the month. It kinda stands as a mark of how far we have yet to go, when the discussions about 'politicizing' and 'using for clout' completely silenced the fact that the racism and violence against Asians continues to rise and BTS suffer their share of it.

the other day my mother said "oh,you like those boys with their make up, they are basically girls, why dont you like REAL men???" and my blood pressure went through the roof. It's funny how people forget that every actor and most dancers and singers, male and female, wear makeup all the time. Anyone who loves music, especially rock, and bashes these guys for makeup, need to be reminded of Elton John, Kiss, Poison, Motley Crue, Queen, Quiet Riot...just to name a few. Never heard of these people nor do I care about them. As for 1D, I never liked them either. Their MVs were boring, didn't like the songs, and just did nothing for humanity. Now BTS is different from any other artist I have ever listened to. The message they send out through their music is beautiful. I use to always listen to American artists but for the past year everything I listen to is BTS. The most humble and kindest people on the planet. Couldn't have said it better. I never was a fan of 'Boy Band's' or the bloody aweful Simon Cowell who formed 1D.

Empty headed people make much noise and if they talk nonsense it should be treated with contempt. BTS are great performers and artists and for this we love and respect them.

Except for Carlson and Liam I have no clue who the other idiots are. Now Carlson I NEVER paid attention to because of his racist comments and moronic ramblings. Liam is delusional. I really never listened to them. BTS is global. They have done more for others than one direction. They broke up during their rise. They never bad mouth fellow Idols or artists. They promote positivity and believing in one's self. They have other artists wanting to collaborate with them.

Well it's not like like I expect better from delusioned westerners filled with superiority complex. If they left half their prejudice for the group, the media wouldn't be focusing on the makeup, the looks, the fans, the dance or any of the external factors. BTS is where they are due to their artistry. And if they have grown its due to their ability respect the essence of the work and keep finding their roots. Trust me. Any one of bts's non music factors is good enough to get you hooked. But if you don't dive into their profound articulation you will move on. Their music is so personal and yet relatable due to how deeply and metaphorically they describe core psychological aspects of life. The impact it can have on you as an audience (I say this as someone battling mental health) is enormous. I am glad they ain't doing too many western interviews cause that's only tailor made to make bts fit into the box designed by the music industry to stereotype the group. But who cares cause now they themsleves are interviewers and just one episode is enough to gauge their indepth artistic knowledge. I don't trust the words of people who say they analysed bts without understanding quater of the sociopolitical impact the group has. Its not just some underdog story. The group is an anomaly in easily more than 6 or 7 ways that exist both in kpop industry and music history as a whole.

For the first 4, I had to google search just to find out who they are and now I'm annoyed that I will never be able to get back the precious seconds of my life that I wasted on them. 😂😂 That last guy needs to check his ego, while 1D was number one in the UK charts they only reached the top 10 single in America none of their songs made it to number one meanwhile BTS has reached number one 3 times. I wish people would stop saying offensive things about BTS it’s disrespectful and hurtful to fans to say This it’s racist too. And isn't it indicative of how callously the country treats the matter, when 'BTS have suffered a lot of racism from the West, as well' is completely shut down by, 'They should NOT be here, they are NOT Americans, they can NOT relate to being treated badly by our country, that old fool is merely using them for clout and trying to look cool.' To think that a Korean, in Korea, who's received death threats from Americans for being a successful Korean singer, has nothing to say about how Koreans are treated by hateful Americans. I'm an ARMY........Critics have no right to say that about BTS! American reporters have no freaking right to say that about BTS, they should feel honoured to have such a worldwide sensation coming to their country! I don't understand why the makeup thing is such a big deal.
