All about learning to have compassion and consideration for others, with even Etna wanting Laharl to become a fine demon like his father, and Laharl learning to let go of the grief of his mother's death. There was real character growth and development and you felt emotional from it. That's why Laharl remains my favorite.

The sound in Fenrich's voice after Valvatorez agreed to come was one of the best "God damn it..." tones i've heard in a while

Honestly, imo, I loved Valzy more than Laharl. xD Valvatorez doesn't have an annoying voice, he's humble, and he has some really good morals. :D

Laharl is the best. I genuinely liked his story in the original Disgaea.

(Sorry about that!) The Disagea D2 Postgame seems like an ideal scenario for fanfic fluffs. We've got: -Artina's reactions to younger Valvatorez -Fuka&Desco's lack of ability to keep mum on future secrets and impact -The impact on Etna-Laharl relations from her massive magic power -Several characters trying to advance themselves and clashing (Asagi, young Emiziel Mao, Axel, Feinrich, Artina trying to get her money) through various shinnangians Etc Etc.

I love Val and Fen.

Is no one going to talk about how one of the prinnies' name is "Blowhard"

Since this takes place before the events of Disgaea 4, Valvatorez is still just a Prinny Instructor working in Hades... he hasn't taken on the corrupterment yet... Also, this must take place before Axel becomes the warden of Hades, because he's currently a member of our party....

I will always love Laharl, Flonne and Etna on every disgaea game. they make the game super funny. even if it is a post game too and I always end up making Flonne the strongest of them all xD

i wish in the next game valvatorez can have a skill that allows him to summon prinnies.

is valvatorez one of the few characters laharl respects.

Well, maybe there were rumors that he was still alive and had become a Prinny Instructor in Hades... Maybe the Corrupterment and the Information Bureau in Valvatorez's Netherworld suppressed the rumors, so no one in his own Netherworld knew about him, but maybe they couldn't stop the rumors from spreading throughout the other Netherworlds... Also, this might take place only shortly after he became a Prinny Instructor, so maybe not everyone's forgotten about him being a former Tyrant just yet...

Yeah, if you look closely during 4:27 and 5:29 you can see it in Etna's skill list for a fraction of a second... Etna actually unlocks Dead End Chaos by passing a Bill at the Dark Assembly, as apposed to automatically learning it once she reaches a certain level like her other special skills. I actually use it often when I want to attack a single target, but if I want to attack multiple enemies at once, I'll use one of Etna's other area of effect skills... maybe I'll use it in a future video...

Will say i love the english VA for Laharl. She totally owns the character!

Actually, one other possibility- this is fairly early in Valvatorez's descent from power.

Emizel, Petta, Axel, Artina, Valvatorez, and Fenrich are also Post Game Characters; however Fuka and Desco, as well as the Main Characters from Disgaea 2 and Disgaea 3, are all DLC characters.

Anyways, the lesson here is that I need to be more careful when stealing Etna's sweets, the only reason I got caught last time is because I slipped up... When Etna said that someone had stolen the dessert that she had hidden at the back of the fridge, I told her not to make such a fuss over "pudding", which gave away that I was the one who stole it XD

I really hope this comes to the Vita soon 3-4 did please join.

I think the strongest character canonically meaning no alternate endings is true Zenon.

Actually, those are their default levels and stats, without any enemy strength modifiers, LoC Mode, or Rasetsu Mode turned on... They're level 1000 because they're part of Disgaea D2's Post Game.

Thanks for the scene! Although this pretty much confirms that from a fluff perspective Levels don't exist.

Ha Ha! XD Yeah, it would have been cool to face him when he was still a Tyrant...

No, or at least not in the Post Game, and even the Japanese version of Disgaea D2 doesn't have "Tyrant Valvatorez" as a DLC character, so it's doubtful that he will be released as one, but you never know... Actually, whichever character lands the killing blow against Baal will have "Tyrant" added to their title, so it is possible to add "Tyrant" to Valvatorez's title, however technically he would still be Prinny Instructor Valvatorez.

This takes place before the events of Disgaea 4 so they haven't met in the afterlife yet

I reckon they should have provided in-story justification for it. Say they'd had an enemy who reset their stats to level 1 as part of their assault (could even have been Xenolith aiming to stop Etna growing too powerful and thus self-destructing if the sequence worked differently), for example.

Yeah, I guess that's one explanation as to why his and Fenrich's levels are so much higher than they are in the beginning of Disgaea 4...

and here i thought there would be a scene with artina and valvatorez like there is with rozalin and adell, eh oh well

Ahh Ha Ha! Well, that just proves that I'm way more powerful than they are! XD It's not like they could possibly have the power to destroy the world in a matter of seconds like I did! XD Besides, the only reason I would have "lost" to him in the first place is because Etna ran off with all of the Prinnies and it had been weeks since I had a decent meal...

I really like how the DLC which involves games after the original Disgaea 1 have Laharl go to beat up the main characters of other games just to show how bad-ass he is. XD

By the time I heard what Etna was up to on Veldime, it was too late... Adell had already become the main character of Disgaea 2... That didn't stop me from trying though, and at least I got to be a Boss in the game! Also, Etna ended up becoming my vassal again...

Ha Ha! Yeah... I feel like Samus Aran having to relearn all of her moves/abilities in almost every Metroid Game! XD It would have been cool though if I had started off as Level 1000 in Disgaea D2... But then I'd either be way overpowered, or if they made the enemies in Episode 1 also Level 1000, then they'd be much more powerful than would make sense...

Well, I guess if you were to trace it back to a single event, that would be when Etna found out that I was the one who ate the Sea of Gehenna Pudding she had been hiding at the back of the fridge... She got pretty mad, but not just about the pudding though... She was also mad because earlier I had turned the stir fried noodles she had made into a noodle soup...

I hope they keep the whole mid-sequel Who knows maybe we we'll have a True Zenon backstory game- and a 1st Downer Ending in Canon line!

D2 looks hilarious. I still wanna beat Disgaea 4 first, and maybe swing back and beat Disgaea 3, but this looks hilarious.

Do you mean just the Disgaea D2 Main Characters or the Main Characters from other Disgaea games as well? Sicily will join your party at the end of Episode 2, Lanzarote will join you at the end of Episode 4, Barbara will join your party temporarily after Episode 9, however you'll have to defeat her in the Post Game to get her to join your party again, and Grosso, Garungun, and Rainier will all join your party after you defeat Darkdeath Evilman in the Post Game...

This game is settled between Disgaea 1 and 2, so this si the first time they meet. For why he doesn't recognize him in D4 itself?...well...its Laharl, so he probably forgot ocne he got bored or something...

Sam Zhao and don't forget his tyrant form... the only thing holding him back from turning back into that are his ideals. I would love a disgaea 4-2 where he turns back into a tyrant. If only temperarily at least.

Hey does anyone plan on getting the Guided fate Paradox?

Laharl&co can beat Baal- Laharl v.s Zenon one-on-one is a different matter. Laharl with his group really can't beat Baal but alone against Baal or Zenon Laharl would be beaten. I think that's fairly clear from what we've seen. Baal v.s Zenon would be a different matter. At a guess- Zenon would put up one of the epicest one-on-one fights ever made against Baal but lose. Add Tyrant Valvatorez, or even dead Adell, and it's hard to say.

So does this scene take place before Disgaea 4? Because if it doesn't, shouldn't Valvatorez recognize Flonne?

Wait so Flonne becomes an angel again then becomes an Archangel after Altina's death?

I think the bill was called "Visit Hades" and cost 50,000 Mana. It only appears after you've defeated Artina. Once you pass the bill you'll unlock the stage "Unknown Enemy", which is based on Episode 3: Stage 1: "Murder Labyrinth" from Disgaea 4. After you've cleared "Unknown Enemy" you'll unlock the stage "The Strongest Proof" (which is basically the "Rehabilitation Room" from the tutorial stages in Disgaea 4) where you'll be able to fight Valvatorez and Fenrich.

On reflection, I think the only solution is to claim that optional DLCs are non-canon. The plot holes otherwise are too massive. If I had to I'd say further time-travel is involved, but that's not very plausible.

so did they travel to the future or something since valvatorez wasn't the ruler of hades until after disgaea 4 started?

HAA HA HA! I've defeated Tyrant Overlord Baal twice now (three times if you include Makai Kingdom's alternate ending), what other Disgaea character can say that?!! If I ever encountered "True" Zenon I could easily defeat them!! That being said though, since "True" Zenon is a "being of solitude", I doubt that they would actually want to be the main character of their own game, due to the unwanted attention they'd receive...

Out of curiousity- what DID happen last time? How did Adell manage to snatch your title so easily?

Gotta warn you Guy's there's a new main character in town now. Prince Laharl your official dead as the main character. Everyone look at the Guided Fate Paradox if you like D2 You're going to love Celestia when you play it. I already have it. And I gotta say Valvatorez is pissed I think he might have to do a Disgaea 4-2

Never said anything about Baal but since you brought him up, he's immortal so technical you can't beat him he's the symbol for all universal hatred. And second I never said True Xenon would be a main character I said he would DESTROY you. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you turn Chicken and run home when you saw her true strength? And this is from when True xenon is still Asleep

Also, Flonne started acting really weird, she began dressing like Etna and even started acting like her too...

why's he called the ruler of hades or even the tyrant then since no one in disgaea 4 knew until after the rebellion started that the tyrant was still alive they all just thought he was a prinny instructor.

every time i fight vavlvatorez Fenrich kill him before i do and gains a level by doing so

awesome although i do hate that their personalities revert to how they were in the beginnings of their own game,as if nothing ever happened...i meant more along the lines of emizel, val and fenrich stay the same throughout their game

DD2 takes place before D2, D3, and D4. I heard that there's supposed to be some sort of explanation for some of the post game events being caused by time distortions or something.

I never got attached to him. He was one of those "Oh right you're a part of this group too" kind of characters.
