Another example of a specific strength speed session , this time oriented toward the discus throw. This combination of drills is expected to develop not only the maximal and specific strength but also the reactive strength and power. It is quite an intensive session not recommended for very young athletes with no sufficient fitness background. Another point is to see how important it is to have a training partner , especially in the development period . It not only more fun , but also creates certainly more competitive and challenging situations and better quality and efficiency of training .DP

Good plan... but it has a few holes... It needs not only weight changing for progression it needs more total sets. And it could use deadlifts because cleaning dosent work glutes as much total. Also trunk rotations on a machine or with a band with weight pushing down resistance is hardly anything a last thing is probably calf extensions with a barbell, calfs play a big role in lightness of feet and pushing off from start sides that its a good plan. :3
