Today is day 5 of our 7 day cruise. We booked the discovery bay snorkel party and beach excursion. It took about 30 mins to get from the port to the beach area. We arrived and were told to hang out at the beach for an hour. The boat was still anchored pretty far out in the bay. After an hour of being at the beach we were told the boat was broken and were giving 2 options. 1 was to go back to the ship, the other was to stay at the beach for another 2.5 hours. About 20 or so people decided to go back to the ship. We went to talk to shore excursion desk to get some refund and since the tour group didn't even notify Royal of the boat that was broken everyone got a full refund. I think we spent an hour on the beach while they were trying to get the boat fixed. Were were excited for this excursion and to snorkel but unfortunately we didn't get to experience it.
