I would liked to see an x-ray image of the AE-35 unit.

Fabulous. I remember first seeing a pic of Gary Lockwood in the command bay in Popular Mechanics. It was a couple pages about the film months before it's release. I was immediatelt fascinated. All those padded surfaces...

Kubrick is very meticulous on detail, and this film is a good example. However I must say it seems in the discussion within the POD that the two astronauts are within artificial gravity...when that section of Discovery is without it.

Lovely work, great details. Can imagine it must feel great with a VR set.

Great job! I appreciate you added the centrifuge passage as this is often forgotten in other displays/tours of the Discovery interior online. I'd love to see the entire ship interior at some point. Add a little of the Gayne Ballet Suite (adagio) music for ambiance and it'd be amazing. :)

Can I recommend posting a link to this video on 2001 a Space Odyssey Master model builders site ? It ties in nicely with some ongoing CAD rendering posts, and questions.

one mistake: where you labelled "Atomic Engine controls" in the centrifuge, look at the keyboard...it's a piano keyboard. it was a scene that was apparently deleted from the final; of Bowman playing music on an electric piano.
