Discovering the Beauty of Japanese Kitchen Utensils : The Magic of Ohitsu

Welcome to Itadakimasu Recipe. Today's video is about the beautiful Japanese kitchen utensil called "Ohitsu". This functional and superior tool is known for its ability to regulate the moisture of cooked rice. Its design also has a wonderful feeling of history. Ohitsu is a tool that will add warmth and elegance to your kitchen and make your rice taste even better. I will introduce the daily maintenance methods of Ohitsu, such as what to do when using it for the first time, when the Taga becomes loose, when it becomes discolored, or when it starts to tree tar. Thank you so much for watching!

Hello. Thank you for watching and thank you very much for your comment! I'm very happy! Ohitsu is used to put freshly cooked rice. Hangiri is called Sushi oke or handai. Hangiri is used to make Sushi rice (vinegared rice). In my videos, I use Hangiri in Chirashizushi, Inarizushi, or Sushi rolls 😊
