Little fun fact, when taka (the lead singer) was young he actually trained as an idol along with his younger brother Hiro (lead singer of my first story). Also he has a song renegades which he wrote with ed Sheeran who he is really good friends with. You really need to check out his live performances! He's so good!!

additionally, his former idol group is currently still active and just celebrated their 19th anniversary. Taka sang in their debut song before he quit the group.

OMG! I didn't know Taka & Hiro were brothers!!!!!! Makes sense why I also love My First Story & thought "These guys remind me of One Ok Rock" when I first heard them.

“Our albums are merely invitation to our concerts, please come if u wanna enjoy true music!” Their live version is always better. Trust me

Gosh, I hope ALL your followers and subscribers will check out your OOR reactions. This band really deserves more recognition. One OK Rock sells out these HUGE stadiums in Japan. They come to America and they perform in much, much smaller venues. We’ll received, but boy, imagine how fulfilling a One OK Rock concert at SoFi, Allegiant, or one of the more prominent stadiums in this country can be.

It's so good to see other people enjoy one ok rock as much as I do, they are amazing with their songs and they're even better live... crazy to see them on stage🔥

I’ve attended two of their concerts outside Japan and it was INTENSE! Taka’s live vocal is definitely better than the studio version. My future plan is to catch their concert in Japan because their concert in Japan has different kind of intensity.

Taka came by those vocals naturally his parents are both famous singers an his little brother is also the main singer in a rock band called My first story... Also fun fact Their bassist Ryota is married to Canadian punk rocker Avril Lavignes sister Michelle ( as a Canadian I find that hella cool for some reason 🤣)

Funnier cause before Ryota publicly posted his marriage, Taka shouted congrats while they were performing. No one knew who Ryota married yet at the time

Taka is one of the best vocalists I have listened to, you can vividly feel the story and lyrics through his bright piercing vocals. Oneokrock's concert is hands down one of the best I had ever been to, you can feel 10x the intensity and greatness in their music live. Online audios and mvs don't do them enough justice compared to their live concerts ;)

I just feel so incredibly happy when people find One Ok Rock, especially if they're outside of Japan. On Sep 30th I'm actually seeing them live which is a dream come true for me for 3 years. I really hope you continue looking at more of their stuff, they just released an album called "Luxury Disease" as well. Keep up the great work!

I love One ok rock so much I really wish they were more internationally recognized because the music they make is phenomenal

One Ok Rock is my childhood! when my sister got me into them 10 years ago because their song The Beginning was the OST for Ruroni Kenshin's first movie and when they came to my country for their tour I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

Since you really seemed impressed by the ballad Heartache, you really need to check out Tara's cover of Adele's Hello. Yes, UK's Adele. There are so many songs from One Ok Rock I love, but that one is quite impressive since most people are already familiar with her song.

Love Tomo´s drums! If you enjoy them , Tomoya has his own KZread channel where he plays the drums: Tomoya Studio. The Studio Jam Sessions are beautiful I can´t with Tomo playin the xylophone. It sounds so sweet.

Love your reactions man! Hope you do more of their LIVE version such as "We Are" or "Wherever You Are" or "Take What You Want". They are known for their live performance, you will get goosebumps!

Definitely the next step is to react to the live performances of these songs🔥 The drummer Tomoya has his own KZread channel (Tomoya Studio) where he drums to OOR songs and in a separate video explains the points to drumming them. Very interesting to watch whether you play drums or not. You discovering OOR is like me discovering 2PM haha. I knew of 2PM way back when they did "Taking Off" for Ao no Exorcist but didn't get into them until this year when I fell in love with Junho through his acting. The regret, man......

We got One Ok Rock in the house now. I recommend watching their live performance. For the members, Taka is the vocalist, Toru is the guitarist, Ryota is the bassist, and Tomoya is the drummer. "The Beginning", "Clock Strikes", "We Are", "I Was King", "Renegade" and more. for short I Love all their songs. oh, btw their song "The Beginning" and "Renagade" is the OST for the movie Samurai X and the Co-composer of "Renagade" is Ed Sheeran. I have been listening to OOR since 2014 and I will never get tired of Taka's voice. I love watching their jam session videos and live stages. They all go out in their concerts and you can see they connect with their audience and fans so well

He has it, we can never really define what it is, but we always know it when we see it.

There is another Japanese band that has a similar sound to OOR. They're called FADE. Cosmicalism, Close to You, and King of Dawn are some of my favourites. :) They also have a band together with Gackt called Yellow Fried Chickenz.

While you listened to One Ok Rock (Their discography are brilliant - so many amazing songs), please react to My First Story too. Taka's younger brother, Hiro, has got such an amazing voice too. Hiro and Woosung from The Rose are my favorite vocalists.

Oh sir.....One Ok Rock has been around a lot longer. Like early 2000's. I discovered them around when I graduated HS in 2005. Which I do suggest checking out their early stuff. Just as amazing as their current stuff. Taka is amazing.

I was going to recommend another jrock band for you to check out but if you thought The Beginning was heavy, this other band might be too heavy for you haha. Please check out My First Story too. The vocalist Hiro of MFS is OOR vocalist Taka's younger brother. Taka and Hiro's have quite same vocal when they sing. My first story is good too.

You might not see this comment but to those who enjoy this songs. You have to check out the lyrics. The moment you learn the meaning and understood the song . The love you have would go deeper. Believe it or not, I bought workout drumsticks ( not real, simply for exercise -be a pretend drummer) because I was so inspired by Tomoya (OOR drummer). Mind you, I don’t play the drums at all. Heck, I’ve never even been near drums. I just whack the hell out of those sticks imagining I’m a drummer. One OOR song in which the drums play a big part is No Scared.

The Beginning ia my intro to the band. I love it so much esp it was the OST for my fave SAMURAI X live action. ❤️❤️❤️

I’m SO happy you discovered One OK Rock! They were my gateway band to Asian groups back in 2013-14 and remain a favourite 💕 I’m seeing them live this weekend in Vancouver for the second time and let me tell you, they are even better live! I hope your reactions bring more fans, they deserve it!

If you have a plan to react to another band from Japan, please check out MY FIRST STORY. To be honest they are a really good band to follow, it's just that they are still underrated. If you like OOR, I think you will like them too. Even though they are brothers, Taka and Hiro have a lot in common but they are really different. MFS songs in the early years of their career were darker and more intense. Also, when compared in terms of singing ability especially when doing live, Hiro still needs a lot of improvement (plus because their flying hours are also different) but seriously, their work deserves to be followed and appreciated. If you are planning to do so, apart from the MV they have also released some footage of their concerts and it contain some of the songs.
