please i need more INFINITE reaction

Sunggyu, the one from Peak time, is such an accomplished vocalist and soloist that he had his own solo Killing Voice that was released just a couple of weeks ago. His solo work is more alternative rock. I feel like this Killing Voice was a lot of chorus parts as to be recognizable and more for nostalgia since it's the first time they have had a comeback in such a long time. It didn't really showcase their abilities as much but as a fan it is such a journey and so enjoyable. Also, Dongwoo, the crazy good rapper and singer, is such a ball of energy that he is pretty uncontrollable but we all love him dearly for it.

SHINee and INFINITE are 2 groups that have dragged me into and amazed by KPop.. at that time, I really liked the songs from both of them.. I am very happy and proud because both SHINee and INFINITE are still exist and still active today .. thanks for your reaction..

FUN FACT: 5/6, including their rapper, does a lot of theatrical musical.

Sungyeol (guy on the far right with the light blue shirt) and Sungjong (guy on the far left with the dark blue jacket) were criminally underutilised in their earlier works (tho iirc they also weren't super confident in their singing) you'd only hear a few lines from them outside of the chorus, where they all sing together. I'm glad they got more confident in their singing, and more parts as a result.

The guy from peak time, sunggyu is probably one of my favorite if not my favorite vocal in all of kpop. I recommend his solo music 1000 times

Loved you showing extra love not only for our leader Sungkyu (shorts)but our rapper/dancer Dongwoo (colored hair). What I loved about Infinite was that their two rapper/dancers (Hoya left the group their used to be 7) were talented vocalists and sang a lot. On a few songs here, when Dongwoo is going from singing to rapping is because he is doing his original part and also covering Hoya’s. They are known for always singing live at performances because they were all absolutely horrible at lip syncing 😂.

I was looking for that comment, explaining the Hoya/Dongwoo part :D Sometimes I was wondering why they haven't gave Hoya's part to someone else, so it wouldn't be that "difficult" for Dongwoo switching between singing and rapping, especially in "bad". But well, he managed that easily and still got a lot of energy left xD

If no action is taken to stop him, Dongwoo just keeps going XD. He was originally positioned as dancer/rapper alongside ex-member Hoya (also dancer/rapper), but both of them have great vocals and over time were given more and more vocal parts in their songs. I think a lot of Infinite's harmonizing will either be him or Woohyun (vocalist in the blue sweater thing). It's also been great to see Myungsoo's growth (the guy with the piercing stare in the blue button-down; also known as 'L'). He originally lacked confidence in his singing and was embarrassed to be given the first line in many of their songs (so they could lead with his visuals), and back during their first concert tour, he kept his eyes tightly shut during his solo performances. But now listen to him! It's great hearing so many old songs with his 2023 vocals.

Yeah Dongwoo got a lot of Hoyas lines, thats bc he sings so much more nowadays! I'm always impressed of the highs in his voice.

You don't follow Myungsoo, do you? I think you shouldn't comment on his singing if you haven't followed him throughout his career. When debuting it is logical that any artist feels nervous. Myungsoo has never had little confidence in his singing, on the contrary, he has always sought to show his voice more, since they gave him one or two lines in the songs, and that is why; instead of doing parodies in his solo performance at concerts like Sungyeol and Sungjong, Myungsoo always prepared covers to sing. I know you don't follow Myungsoo because you don't know that when he sings ballads he always keeps his eyes closed most of the time, and that's just his personal way of living and interpreting the song, and not a sign of insecurity in his voice.

@@zammich3649 I can assume that you don't really follow him because you only mention the songs that Myungsoo has performed in concerts with INFINITE and not in his individual career, like his OST "It's Ok If its not me", his single "Memory", or the covers that he has sung in his recent fanmetings. I guess you only pay attention to him when he has activities with the group. Myungsoo always sings ballads and when he sings, he always does it with his eyes closed. Saying you've been following the group since 2011 doesn't mean you paid attention to Myungsoo's voice. You don't mention an increase in his confidence as a performer on stage regarding his posture or attitude, but you point out only his singing. Obviously, like the rest of the group members, Myungsoo is an artist with more confidence on stage after 13 years in the industry, including his singing, but you weren't referring to Myungsoo's stage presence; you were pointing out that his supposed lack of confidence was only becasue of his singing ability and that the sign of that was that he sang with his eyes closed, and you were wrong about that. It's logical that Myungsoo would feel nervous on stage in his debut since, without any experience in singing, he debuted in charge of the first lines of the songs and almost always singing next to the lead and main vocalists of the group, who had more experience in singing than him; but instead of settling for the few lines he had in the group's songs and casually singing high notes, he always prepared covers to sing at INFINITE's concerts and fan meetings, showing that he was actually confident in his singing ability and just wanted the opportunity for fans to recognize his voice more and more.

I've never had to mute a conversation with a fellow Inspirit before and I'm glad you have an appreciation for Myungsoo and you bring up good points, but I don't have to LIST every single activity Myungsoo has ever done to "prove" how much of a fan I am. XD

They actually have lots of songs that utilize their vocals to full ability but I think most of the songs they chose here were for nostalgic purposes. I highly recommend watching them perform “Between Me & You” if you want to see their vocals being used to their full abilities. They’re actually known for their incredible live vocals.

Dongwoo usually have high energy like 99.99 percent of the time. Thats why sunggyu and sungjong is always there to "neutralize" him. Hahahha Coz if he stays with woohyun and sungyeol, it'll be amplified chaos😂😂😂

No, actually sungyeol know to behave himself onstage, he even scolded dongwoo, STOP, sunggyu hyung will be angry. (Sungyeol adored Sunggyu like his own older brother, like to playfight but still clings to Sunggyu)

I like to see these kind of voice analysis videos, now I know that Sunggyu, Woohyun and Myungsoo have the same vibrato in their voices.

I don’t like boy groups aside from EXO but infinite were the only ones that I ever followed beside EXO. They were known for their synchronized dancing (seriously they were crazy on point) and their high notes (kinda like APink). If you ever plan to listen to more of their music, I recommend The Chaser. Also fun fact, Dongwoo (the rapper) used to be Xiumin’s friend and Woohyun (on of the guys who does the high notes) was Key’s besties and even had a subunit together (To Heart)

the way exo and infinite are my two favorite groups

From Left to Right SungJong the Maknae of INFINITE, DongWoo Main Rapper and Main Dancer, INFINITE Leader and INFINITE Company CEO SungKyu, Myungsoo/L, WooHyun, and SungYeol. DongWoo did a fantastic job covering Hoya’s parts. So proud of INFINITE on this comeback. They came back with fantastic music, now under their own Record Company, and all the promotional they did on this comeback they did it together on their own. Love these multi talented boys. I also must say I love their new Light Stick, and INFINITE also just released their first Variety Show INFINITE Company with English Subs coming soon. INFINITE are also a super fun group and very chaotic. Such as their backstage interviews of both MCOUNTDOWN and Music Bank they had so much energy they broke out singing Acapella Medleys. Backstage of Music Bank poor Eunchae wasn’t expecting WooHyun to put the mic on her when they were singing Be Mine Acapella style. I also love their Dance Relay for No Emotions. Their song Be Mine was also featured in SEVENTEEN’s Game Caterers. Seungkwan also sang a couple of their songs on SEVENTEEN’s VLive.

I think the reason most of the songs they did were from their debut era/first years is like a gift to fans? all of these songs were so nostalgic and they do have some vocal heavy songs that they didn’t sing here I would love to see you react to some of them too ( a personal favorite is A person like me where sunggyu and wooghyun really shine)

i don't think they were underrated.. they were super popular back in in 2011-2015.. specially in 2012-2013.. they were liked today's BTS. they did tour in US and some europe countries back in 2015/2016 if not wrong. of coz now their popularity was not like they used to be coz they were not active for 5 years..the members went to military and all that. but i read that their upcoming concerts are sold out already, and that's in KSPO DOME.

@@lgiam2011 Well nowadays they're underrated, ofc they were one of the biggest groups at their peak. They still have a pretty large core fanbase but I'm sure a lot of new fans wouldn't know who they are

SHINee, Beast and INFINITE were the vocal kings of the 2nd generation (TVXQ too but I consider them more part of the 1st gen) anyway I'm glad that with this Killing Voice many new people in kpop have the opportunity to get to know them. Also with these videos people can see how different the industry was when it came to talking about how before the companies did worry that there were people in the groups who knew how to sing ahshshs

I like the times you say "Nice" for Myungsoo's voice, especially here 17:25 😊.

You HAVE to watch their concert/live performances. A lot of them are up in youtube (since they release concert DVDs). They shine the most in their live performance, knife-like synchronized dance, live bands, and their stable vocals. Their charisma onstage is off the charts, and they show off their vocals more there, so I highly recommend.

This makes me so nostalgic, I was a huge fan of Infinite back in the day and I even went to their first US tour back in 2013! I've always been a huge fan of Sunggyu (3rd from left) and Woohyun's (2nd from right) vocals. You can tell how passionate they are about singing. Thanks for listening!!

Also I guess this is my request for a reaction to Highlight’s killing voice from 2 years ago if you haven’t already seen it

i feel like most of the 2nd/early 3rd gen groups have a more "old man" sounding technique. most of them are better live singers, and less of them are stylistic singers the way many of the kpop vocalist nowadays are.

Thank you for reacting to Infinite's Killing Voice. You're right they're one of the most unserious groups ever and that's their charm. We love them for being themselves, chaotic but super talented.

The other Infinite members have said that Dongwoo (colored hair) could be a main vocalists if he wanted to. He is so multitalented ❤

They were serious but not serious. Lol. Woohyun (blue shirt with design) is known for his belts but he held back here for some reason. This might have been something akin to karaoke for them. They are too chaotic but I love them for it. They wouldn't do this in a live stage 😂. I'm more convinced by you calling his lower tone rich that L is a baritone but that's still in the air. He is being used though, which I'm sure you might have noticed, in the choruses and under certain verses. Always had been, although it goes underappreciated since he's the undertone of it. I have a feeling without him INFINITE's sound would be really high in the pitch spectrum (and they do sing in a higher pitch already). He keeps it balanced. I love when he and Sungyu (white shirt, lol) trade off the most. There was your "finally a harmony" with them and the transition in Bad from L to Sunggyu blended seamlessly because their vocal tones mix well together. Although he and Woohyun had that one part in a song called Sonagi (I Need U Back) that was [chef's kiss]. There's lives of it.

About what you say about Myungsoo, actually he's in charge of the high part in the songs, and that has been from the beginning. In reality, when Myungsoo said that fans don't pay attention to his voice, he was absolutely right.

@@Sagcn33-rg4um how are you going to say that to me when in the literal video of Dingo Killing Voice he's using his lower tone in the choruses. You can hear him in other songs too. Like it's right there, lol. He takes care of and is the backbone of the harmonization (which is why he was able to pile up different pitches of himself in the beginning of New Emotions), but to say he's only in charge of INFINITE's high parts when there's videos and music shown otherwise is, frankly, asinine.

Hahaha dongwoo the problem 😭😭😭😭 he is a very high energy guy, very carefree, hardly serious and is just very very lovable. His energy drives them crazy but no one can hate him for his personality. He gets shit on for his look which I don’t get. He is beautiful, that special snowflake he is. With his dancing background, he is the main dancer of the group and he dances with energy and feeling the grooves rather than accurate, power moves. He has such an unique singing voice and is able to switch from vocal to rap as you have seen. I just… really love this silly dino boy.

Omo I miss them so much, they're all multi-talented our Romeos INFINITE.

Im not sure why they chose the parts of the song they did cuz they have such good bridges? Was a bit disappointed they didn’t really include those.. also in songs they tend to have a lot of stacked vocals so yea its a shame they didn’t harmonize more. Sungjong (pretty one on the left) and sungyeol (all the way right) always had the least lines sadly enough. Also you were 100% about the dude (dongwoo) being trouble. A menace really 😭

He usually finish the easy mild INFINITE songs in one or two takes. Sometimes he sings a whole song based on other members voice ranges as guide first. But the best for me, he actually encouraged myungsoo and dongwoo to sing together his part (of course not on formal recording)

The Chaser takes me back to college days, speed driving to Walmart with my kpop bestie. funnily enough, the Chaser was the most listened to song of 2012 globally. If you ever see this, I recommend ALi's Killing voice. She is a singer.

Their rapper, the one in blue hair, does musical a lot too!

If you wanna hear more of their amazing vocals, I'll recommend watching their live performance for Diamond and Between Me and You.

infinite and beast/highlight are in the same category for me like they both have great singers and the same kind of discography

Sungjong the one the left actually has a lot of lines in their older stuff, but also was like a child when they debuted, He was only 16 when they debuted. It sounded like in here it was difficult to hit the notes he used to since he had some parts where he was a bit pitchy. You'll notice they had so many 2011 songs here because when they came out in 2010, they hit the ground running. They were promoting something new like every 2 months.

For me out of 2nd and 3rd generation boy groups Btob, Exo and Infinite are my faves in terms of vocals I've been blessed to get all 3 doing Killing voice around the same time My biases Minhyuk (Btob) and Dongwoo both have different voices when they rap and sing. When they rap their voices are deep and when they sing they're pretty high

we love sunggyu vocals appreciation!! also I don’t think dongwoo gets nearly enough credit for being the main rapper and dancer and main vocal material,, a true all rounder

thair discography is perfection, thair b-sides are so solid, particulary the ballads/slower songs.

I'm so happy seeing Infinite back. And you just can't go wrong with those 2nd gen vocal goodness. Although I will say this video didn't do them much justice since it was mostly chorus parts and a lot of their songs have choruses of them singing together lol. They are all incredible. Btw since you watched Peak Time, you might be familiar with another judge Lee Gikwang. He's in another 2nd gen group called Highlight (formerly BEAST) and they are also absolute vocal powerhouses. They were first boy group from Cube (they left after their contract expired, hence the name change) and if you know the talent of BTOB & Pentagon when it comes to vocals, you know you can expect great stuff. Their main vocal (Yang Yoseob) I think still holds the record for the most wins in King of Masked singer by an idol singer (it was 8 or 9 times). Korea loves his voice. Highlight actually have a Killing Voice video, and it's very diverse, some dance songs, some ballads, some old school r&bish. I think you might really enjoy it, it's a great overview of their discography.

Yay. Infinite. Have such a huge soft spot for them cause Sungjong is in my top 5 ultimate biases. He’s the cute one you kept asking about hoping he’d get more opportunities to show his voice. He did release a solo song recently and he’s done a few solo stages during their concerts. The solo stages are definitely worth a watch. His cover of adult ceremony is sexy af.

I have always been a fan of Myungsoo's voice since his dwbut years, whose songs they sing here precisel, which are the most representative and it was always difficult for me to understand that over the years the group used his voice less when at the beginning he sang the same lines of Sunggyu and was in charge of high notes in some songs too. Despite that, Myungsoo didn't stop singing doing covers at the group's concerts where he showed his beautiful voice and made me love his voice much more. After during 2015 - 2016 his voice became deeper when he entered adulthood, his voice became even more beautiful and he showed it to everyone in King of Masked Singer, and from then on, his voice doesn't stop to grow, it sounds deeper and deeper and becomes more and more beautiful every time you hear him sing. I love that here and in other reaction videos to INFINITE Killing Voice everyone agrees that Myungsoo's voice is really beautiful, that his tone of voice is beautiful and that he has a good vocal technique, because all those comments confirm that I was never wrong falling in love with Myungsoo's voice from the start 🥰 *Although at the same time I miss hearing his sweet boyish voice and that's why I always go back to the old videos of him singing covers in concert 😋

I recommend you watch their concert and fanmeeting that are available here in KZread coz they sound amazing singing live with live band.. Their Japan concerts are my favorite, you should check out their song like Dilemma, 24 hours, D.N.A and Waiting for The Moment.. Their bside song are masterpiece too especially their ballad Why Me, With..., Voice of My Heart, Mother, Only Tears, Till I... and Between Me&You

Laughed a little at the irony at 26:41 of "Why are you singing in unison?" on the song called "Together" hehe

I agree with the opinion about Sungjong's voice, I think that Sungjong's voice has never been used in a more versatile way in the group and it has always remained in the same invariable range. The same goes for Sungyeol's voice, although there is no opinion about him here. It also seems to me that they were able to choose songs and sections of songs where the brilliance of other voices in the group could be shown. I mean, Woohyun is the original main vocalist and in all the songs he singshigh notes, but here they only showed one with "Toguether". Myungsoo also has songs where he sings high notes like "Clock" that they didn't included it here. Dongwoo's voice is done justice, yes; but since Sunggyu already has his own Dingo Killing Voice, I think they should have chosen songs or parts of the songs where the voices of the other members would show more.

Btw, Sungyeol (the guy you said looks like he could be Hongjoong's older brother) does have a younger brother named Daeyeol. Daeyeol is the leader of Golden Child.

the tongue position you notice comes from woollim, I notice this too in other woollim vocalists, it's their vocal coach teaching I think. The parts of the songs they chose for this are just so random to me because it doesnt really show their voices a lot, in fact Infinite are known as a vocal group!
