Lee hyori is 1st generation. She just has such a long career and she’s been active for so long. My 1st gen/2nd gen fangirl soul loves it that Ceecee knows Hyori’s u-go-girl.
Everyone talks about Taeyeon vocals but Jessica’s vocals, high notes and adlibs are always soooo on point, plus her girly yet strong timbre voice is so unique!! Also Jessica is inspired by Mariah Carey! Remember Jessica was born in America and her first language is English!!

She doesn't get it. If she followed girls generation and like K-pop she would understand this concept is not cheesy at all. This concept is very cool.

I would love to see her react a few songs off their Forever1 album or some of their other concert performances from their Japanese tours…from the first snsd reaction vid she did I feel like those would be more up her alley… but non the less I loved the vid n I have to agree a lot of their older stuff is very time specific and that’s why they were able to capitalize off it and make such a big hit because it worked well with the time however coming into it now if that’s not necessarily your niche type music it might take a few tries to get into the groove of it… but no one can deny that all of them r bops regardless

At first i hate Genie too but, it grew on me and now i like it too much😂

I’ve been a SONE since 2011, but I’m not much of a fan of the Genie (kor) mv either. I really love the Japanese mv though which is how I fell in love with SNSD
if you hate the normal gee , i recommend the acoustic + rock version , snsd's vocal line performed it in lalala live.

Gee (the original) is a chirpy example of everything wrong with pop music, one of my least favorite songs by the group, but I have to admit it is a necessary part of the SNSD journey.
