my guy dismantled a forest for those amazing wood lol what do you think of walstad and low tech tanks?
Thank you. As a french, I knew aquadesigner, they do have a large choice of different stuffs. But I didn't know aquaterrien. Next time I'm in Paris, I won't forget to visit the shop. Best regards.
What a nice trip to France. Great items in both stores. Wow, all the selection of hardscape in the second store! Thank you MJ for taking us along. I love your shop tours.
Yeah, I´d love to see a vampire crab paludarium! Please!
I would love to see you do a vampire crab paludarium! I think you would do an amazing job!
@18:54 I have burnt wood before placing in the tank (allow time for hydrophobic exterior to become water logged) to speed up initial growth. Just like fire boosts growth in the forest, using burnt wood in the aquarium gives epiphytes a boost of carbon to get solid root systems established a little more quickly. Plus, lovely contrasts of bright green against black wood.

Thats smart imma try that
as an student my aquariums look like the second shop, i used to get very upset over the idea of getting my aquariums looking perstine that almost got me out of the hobby, now i enjoy some of the algae, it makes the scape looking more natural, well... it might be me trying to trick myself but it sure got me into the habby again. greettings and thanks for sharing!
Thank you for bringing us along it was awesome, love it when you travel and check out new stores. So awesome to see how the hobby is in different parts of the world and not just in San Diego California
Always nice to see you visiting stores, always fun to watch!
Aqua terrien had beautiful wood, and I love that low tech
Thank you so much for bringing us along!
Looks like I’ll be taking the wife for a romantic trip to Paris soon 😂
Welcome to my city ❤ Love your work and content !
Those fish that looked like CPDs where the Emerald dwarf rasbora, enjoy the fish store tours
Awesome video and amazing stores!! Such beautiful scapes!shapes!! I love seeing different aquascaping stores throughout the world!!! Love it!
Your idea with a Paludarium seems very nice! You should definitely try that out :) Keep up the good work MJ!!!
Thanks for taking us with you. Enjoyed the trip. Hard scape material in both stores was amazing!
I have an N scale train of the train you just rode and I got it in Paris. What a coincidence!😂😂
Absolutely incredible. We only dream of Stores like this in Toronto...
Thnx for the recommendation. I just bought a nano tank from Victor today in Aquaterrien/Paris. Can’t wait to get started
Love it ! 😀 🇨🇵
Thanks, beautiful video, nice shops.l love tank for crabs.
Very nice video about those 2 interesting shops 👍🏻
You should definitely do a paludarium for crabs
Funny to see the shops i go to in one of your vlog haha hope i can bump into you next time !!
Nice vlog, MJ! Those Danios(at 17:25) come from the same original habitat with CBD. I remember they got two different color species, blue one and red one. I even saw some people bred their and CBD's offspring which is Blue CBD, very beautiful. In addition, the Parosphromenus you mentioned in 9:17. If the store owner want set up a biotope tank, that plant isn't the proper choice, any Cryptocoryne or no plant will be better.By the way, the sand also isn't proper, shloud be peat soil. And I remember I once recommended you to keep the bettas from Malaysia. Even though they're not a family group with Parosphromenus, they're both fun. At last, always love your video!!
You and I like these aqua trips, jij en ik houden van deze aquarium reizen 👍
Great shops!
Love the video!
Really nice to see those beautiful stores. I would have never seen those places if you didn't visit there and made a video about it I like the narration as well.... I think a Bonsai scape would be great addition...or maybe a terrarium...need to understand about the soil mixture etc....
Nice aquascape store at Paris 👍🏻
Mark on tour. Nice trip to france and good stores ... ❤️
Yes please for vampire crabs!
nice video bro welcome to my country!
Definitely do a vampire crab tank!!!
I love those shops, I go there to buy any aquascaping thing:)

@@MJAquascaping Amazingly kind thank you:)
Bravo from Romania
You mentioned you were having issues maintaining CO2 in the big shallow. I have a similar tank with the same issue. My solution was to keep to CO2 on 24/7 with enough CO2 that the levels wouldn't drop once the lights came on. If the surface movement is high enough that the limiting factor for CO2 in solution is the rate of loss from the water surface. The lights coming on should not drop CO2 levels significantly enough to cause algae issues. I kept my drop checker solution a forest green color, rather than lime green for better fish health.
would be interesting to do a vampire crab set up.
great
If you decide to do a vampire crab paludarium swing me a message. I have a bucket lód of them at the moment and can probably send you some. They are my specialty 😉 i have a ton of content on them. They are fun little critters

Are you gonna meet MD whilst he's on mainland as well?! That would be wicked !!!
Hi from Australia thanks for showing us your tour. The second shop you showed using the chihiros lights confirms my theory.Every tank those lights were on had algae.I had the same problem using vivid 2 and could never get them right that’s why I got rid of them. Thanks again.

True soms led lights are a pain in the *** to keep tank algea free. Are you aware of the silicat issue in water/ro water. Silicat can def cause black algea for instance. GL

@@mfstarboy8690 hi I’m aware of silicate and have in my water supply. But all my other tanks no bba algae only that one with those lights so hard to say .I’ve gone with Ada Solar rgb .

I would add that victor worked at aquadisigner before the shop moved. Aquadisigner has not been established there for a very long time... Not representative of the work of the two managers.
love the UG tank. interesting the HC carpet is growing w/o ferts and just on RO water. - HOW?

Quite a thick aquasoil substrate, so i'm guessing that's giving enough nutrients
If they don't have the time to maintain those display tanks I think they should shutdown some of them.. I'm not sure it's a good marketing move to showcase your products like that, especially when you run an aquascaping maintenance business like aquadesigner does.
👍👍👍👍
Love your videos MJ! Positive Feedback: Not sure what is up with your camera here, but it's kinda choppy and messing with my eyes a bit. Ha! Otherwise, I always look forward to more videos from you. Great Job.
👍👍👍😍😍😍
Store looks a bit messy but I think thats because its pretty new still.
We thought aquascaping was your job XD!
Please make a paludarium with vampire crabs.
The MDF on that racking will go mouldy over time in high humdity
Content idea. Diy liquid carbon vs brand name product. Showing the result and price difference would be interesting.
So, when are we going to see you scaping an iwagumi/bonsai tank then ?

You shouldn’t watch the videos you don’t want to watch. Respectfully. The idea to create a second channel when you have 100k subscribers is just silly.
