Thank you for your kind words. It’s very much appreciated.
You 2 funsters are the reason hubby and I have been looking in Hudson for a gulf shore home. He is a Florida boy from Kissimmee, so knows ocean fishing. We both truly appreciate how simply and efficiently you break things down when explaining even the common sense concepts. The why with the how is invaluable! Hubby is in Corpus Christie, TX right now, fishing and looking at boats. And keep the recipes coming, Steph! I would share some Iowa home cooking recipes but they are probably too heavy for the salt life!11🐟🐠🐡🦞🦐🚤

@@LifeByTheBow One quick easy summer snack we love are Fridge Pickles 1 cucumber, peeled, sliced thin, layered in a colander in the sink with salt on each layer to draw out the water-let them sit for 20-30 minutes 1 sweet onion, peeled, cut in half, sliced thin as the cucumbers (1/8 to 1/4 inch) Simple syrup of 2:1 sugar and water, warm and dissolved in the microwave (don’t heat up the house with the stove if you can help it) Apple cider vinegar Fresh cracked black pepper Make your simple syrup, let it cool. Shake as much water from the cucumber slices in the colander as you can. Throw them in a container with a lid, toss in the onion slices, grind in as much pepper as you like. The pepper will get stronger over time, so go easy. Now is where you find the balance of sweet to vinegar…. I start with 1/2 simple syrup and 1/2 vinegar. You need enough liquid to make the veg float. Put it in the fridge for 30 minutes. Pull it out, take a spoon and taste the brine. Too much vinegar? Add more syrup. Too sweet? And a splash of vinegar and a splash of water. This is not a “measurement” recipe as much as it is what your taste preference is. And as the cucumber and onions go away, just peel, slice, salt, and sweat more cucumbers and slice more onions. It will keep great for weeks! You may have jazz it up with more syrup and vinegar now and then, but you can let it ride for a long time. If you prefer not to use sugar, you can warm up water and stir in honey or agave nectar until it is very sweet, and I mean VERY. You will cut the sweet with the vinegar. Last check for salt. The cucumbers were salted, but it dissolved and may have diluted a bit. You need the salt and pepper balance. Feel free to throw other veg in the brine…. Thinly sliced carrots and jalapeños are two of our favorites! I hope you see this Iowa recipe and think it sounds interesting and give it a try!
Pure awesomeness!. Thank you for taking my husband and I on journeys we live but can’t really do now. This Florida native loves her keys and the Bahamas. Live as much joyful life as y’all can. Cheers from Seminole co. ✨✌️💜🌴🎣

I believe that boat was a Hattian boat, I saw it about 2-months ago. It had a mast on it at that time, I have photos of it. The Island is part of the Dynamite Dock, during World War 2 they loaded weapons from that area onto boats. I guess there was a dock way back when. The birds are Double-crested Cormorants, a very common species. Nice video.

You already know I adore you guys and your channel, the shooting style between Zack , Clay and Stephanie just melds together to tell a fun and interesting story. 150+ People on that "iffy" boat really drives home how absolutely fortunate we are living in prosperous countries like the United States and Canada and I feel for those daring, brave and desperate folks and hope their journey finds them better lives than they had. Completely off topic, do they call a Hogfish a Hogfish because of it's mouth looking like a snout, or because the meat has a slightly smokey "ham" quality to the taste? I've heard the argument for either but still really don't know why it bears that name. Take care, see you next week!!! Oh, do we get to learn who the winner of the contest was so we can congratulate them? **Were you guys in a Boston Whaler Dauntless 280 release video? Cause if you weren't you have twins roaming around down there!!
