Please make a detailed video on flamboyant gamine body type, because it is really hard to come off as professional or rebellious (btw I am absolutely in love with your videos. They are so helpful, and I feel so much more confident now)

Hi, I love your videos and you inspired me so much and I like this movie called the tale of princess Kaguya & I was wondering if you can do a video or a tik tok on the type of facial essence and essence princess Kaguya has and I hope that's possible even though it's an animated movie .

Honestly I love fashion, but I’ve been so unhappy with fashion from stores these days. Finding something that suits me is more of a struggle these days and it’s making the whole process more tiring than fun.

Me too! I am now sticking only to thrift stores (online and in person) to find what I’m looking for because everything I see that’s new in stores seems overpriced, cheaply made, and impractical for my everyday.

Same… and I see random girls walking around in things I would love to wear and it drives me mad that I don’t know where they got those things from. Size is also an issue. If you are a bit taller or shorter, skinnier or bigger than “average”, good luck finding anything that fits you well. I like sleek styles with a bit of edge. But I mostly find very basic basics that are boring or over the top clothes. Hopefully our time comes soon and brands come up with wearable but interesting clothes.

It could also be an issue from the editing program or compression. It seems like it only happens when there's cuts in the video.

Yes, there’s something very weird about the sound on this one. I think it’s the editing, because the squeak happens at the beginning of each cut. It’s very distracting, whatever the cause!

I really enjoyed this video. Especially about the branding of your home. What if you had a video showing what the 8 roots would look like interior design. I think it could help people identify which roots feel more authentic to them. Love your videos!

It's nice to see your full outfit in frame! I think the different microphone looks professional, but the quality seems off. I can't tell whether it is because you're tilting your head away or the microphone itself has a problem.

Now that you mention your brand or style roots in your home I do always buy 100% cotton percale sheets and solid wood furniture which would point me to an 🌎 root. So that puts me at flower, earth, ?. Love your approach!

I love your style roots! And I'm sure that mountain is my main aesthetic, but I really like dressing vintage and straight up historical with both men and women fashion. (think 1890-1910) I would really love to see some videos in the future where you incorporate historical fashion maybe even eras.

I'm currently analyzing which style roots appeal to me most by going through your boards for the combinations and calculating what percentage of each section is outfits I would want to wear. It's been very helpful, and at present, it's looking like my first root is Earth, though the other two aren't precisely clear just yet (either Mushroom or Mountain for root #2, I think, though that might change as you put out more sections). This video is helping me decide how to use what I know about my roots so far to impact my aesthetic choices outside of my clothes, like my interior decorating of my half of mine & my partner's bedroom, and the habits and tastes I have that I want to cultivate, and what things I need to buy that will help me get there. So, thank you for that!

The thumbnail of this video stating "Personal brand" and "become a somebody" puts me off a bit. I like the idea of learning my personal style and incorporating it into my life, but not everything needs to be done for the intention of marketing. Edit: I have watched the entire video and realized it's literally just an AD. The thumbnail verbiage makes more sense in this context but leaves me wanting more substantial content.

I would love a deep dive on maximalism. I thought maximalism was more of a “put one more thing on.” It felt like a cliffhanger, j was asking myself, “Wait…Am I a maximalist?!” I was waiting for “more” to be put on for some reason, even though I know nothing about maximalism and have never even heard of the term before. I truly loved all the new combinations of outfits. The styled outfits with patterns and textures do really seem to be more “you.” I enjoyed your personal journey and can appreciate the deep thought to make these chic and playful layering choices. Beautiful and so refreshing.

It’d be good to see you do a more in depth video on personal branding. I usually love your videos, but this one’s a bit of a mess tbh? There’s something wrong with the audio which is probably not great for advertising video editing software, and it felt like the video couldn’t decide whether it was about personal branding, maximalism, or Filmora. At 5:46 I think the green screen effect has been messed up because there’s only background and nothing over them. It kinda has the feel of a last minute rushed school project, which I get is probably the case as you’ve just moved and Filmora may have had a date they wanted the video done by. For me and a lot of others who already follow you it’s probably not a big deal as it’s one dip among a lot of good quality content, but it’d be disappointing if this is someone’s first impression of the work you do

I honestly don't think anyone can really figure out WHAT their brand is until they figure out WHO they are, and who that is changes throughout the months/years depending on what events happen to us (like being a uni student, moving to a different part of the world, or a becoming a mum), different circles of people we meet, and when our bodies change. I believe it's why so many of us rotate through styles/colour pallets and get sick of things we own, and why we feel confident one day and awkward in the same outfit a few months later. A simple example - I love wearing this particular black oversized tshirt when I've got icy blonde hair because the contrast looks great and I feel edgy and confident and strong and it makes me reach for my Doc Martin boots and big accessories but when I've changed my hair colour to brown in the past, I felt I looked too dark for that shirt and sort of frumpy/underdressed, and I felt this internal pull to look for softer colours and more structured tops, less makeup and more minimal jewellery. My 'brand' started to change. The same thing happened when I put on weight - I started to go look for more flowy, draped fabrics, or dresses with lots of patterns (to try and hide my body that I was no longer proud to show off) rather than structured tops and tighter pants.

I was wondering if you could go into how the colour seasons look in each of the style roots. I tend to have the boho looks in earth style roots, but I’m a summer.

Hi Ellie, have you ever noticed in you or your clients some trouble in establishing your style roots and how you wanna be percieved, because you change a lot according to the season? For instance in fall/winter I wanna be percieved as more cool, rebellious, magic, witchy-fairy like or rock. Like some sort of grunge/rock fairy. While in spring summer I feel the need to add like a flower element to it and slightly tone down the alternative side, because the temperature doesn't allow me to use leather or layering and other things I link to my moon style root. Do you have any experience with this issue?
