Loved the Rode wireless
1:00 you didn't mount it correctly, the red wire has to be attached to the shock mount, in the wheel that you use to tighten up the mic to the coldshoe. This keeps the mic from shaking like crazy.

You could just move them to a different cold shoe on a tripod attachment, but I was trying to show how they would look when using the media mod and your right a lot of them show in the shot which isn't ideal!
Any advice on the right microphone to use on gopro 12 for walking videos around the historic center area of Rome Thx

A shotgun mic (rode videomicro) is going to pick up noise whichever way you are pointing it, but it will probably draw some attention but it’s a cheap option, you can get similar ones from Movo / Boya for half the price. A wireless lav mic is going to pick up more of the overall sound. If you want a very cheap option that still looks discreet then go for the foam wind muff, you don’t even need the media mod if you want to save money. Personally I would go for a shotgun mic, but there’s a couple of options for you depending on what you want to do. Hope that helps

Strangely it’s alright if your about 30cm away from it and there’s not much other interference!
number 9 and 2 are the least bad in my opinion
