It's easier than you think when you know the feel that you want. It is not that complicated to have a repeatable and natural back swing takeaway that involves the perfect amount of wrist hinge without out having to think about it. Let's find out how
Here are some aspects that this trick with the finger in the takeaway can help in the entire golf swing... Because we need to make it simple and the golf swing wrist hinge is overcomplicated by many.
It will help stop inside golf swing takeaway
Helps to avoid forced wrist set in golf swing.
Simplifies the different techniques for golf wrist hinge in takeaway
Resulting in simple golf swing for effortless power and consistency
We need to tap into that natural instinct just a little bit more to see the substantial improvement in your consistency. We cannot manipulate.
We cannot over consciously try and force the risk to happen. And why does, if you consciously try and place them, okay, you are never going to repeat that action. And you might go on the range or whatever it might be and you think, okay. Yeah, I'm hitting my position. I'm hitting my takeaway. I'm hinging the wrists in the golf swing correctly. So when you get out on the course, it all goes to pot.
You see, we need it to be repeatable, easy and natural, but we also need a specific feel that you can utilize to give you the repeatable motion. But let me show you what you're probably doing wrong first. Then I'll show you how to fix it.

Absolute GOLD. Ill actually set up with my pinky slightly off the handle, and pull it like a trigger to start my swing.

A great reminder. I learned accidentally at the range that if I squeeze the grip before the downswing, I hit the ball better. I practiced what you said in my living room and I can't wait to try this on the range later today. Thanks for keeping it simple.

Discovered this on a really horrible round of golf. My grip had gotten lazy and I got the club back more in my fingers. However after a few swings my pinky was getting a little raw, I have not been using a glove. Now I have a reason to use a glove again. Shot my best scoring round of the year this week. Hands are melded together as a unit now.

Most of the time it does not require a total rebuild... a couple of princiles and keys can piece a lot together. Keep at it!

Thanks for this great tip I will give it a try next time I go to the range .The cocking of the wrist has been a huge problem for me and the inconsistant feelings I have in the wrists on the back swing . Hopefully this advice will help .One question on the down swing would the pinkies ease off or remain firm pressure like in the back swing ?

More than welcome. I'd steer away from minutia like that in the downswing. It's happening way to quickly and you want main movements rather than tiny thoughts.

I think I’m not doing this ‘high’ enough and why I’m always below the plane. This promotes the below plane drop in downswing it seams too?

When do you release the pressure of the little finger... On the downswing... Top bottom ???
