Discover the PhD pathway in the Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at UMass Chan Medical School. Students build a strong foundation in modern biomedical science through an integrated program of laboratory research, advanced coursework, and attendance and participation in seminar programs.
All basic biomedical science students complete the core curriculum as well as electives required by their programs. The coursework is designed to be flexible to accommodate the interests of individual students. All students in thesis research give an annual research presentation to their department in a seminar series that runs throughout academic year.
