As the U.S. emerges from pandemic life, Baby Boomers are retiring in record numbers. According to a Pew research study about 28.6 million Baby Boomers - those born between 1946 and 1964 - reported that they were out of the labor force due to retirement. This is 3.2 million more Boomers than retired in the same quarter of 2019.
Post-pandemic reality brings with it special priorities for active seniors, as they consider the right community for them. While many seniors struggled through isolation and loneliness during COVID-19, Tellico Village residents experienced a heightened sense of community as residents rallied to help and support each other through pandemic life.
