Discover New England: Haven Brothers Diner in Providence, Rhode Island
Visit one of New England's most famous food institutions - the diner. Providence is considered the birthplace of the diner...tracing back to Walter Scott's horse-drawn lunch cart in 1872. In this video, experience Haven Brother's Diner, a shiny stainless-steel trailer which pulls into a reserved parking space next to Providence City Hall and literally plugs into the building for its electric supply. Haven Brothers serves up milk shakes, hot dogs and hamburgers - including the Murder Burger - to hungry visitors from every walk of life! I use to grab a Burger and a Coke at this Diner by Providence City Hall in the 1980's !! THE BEST !! Love the History and knowing they INVENTED what would become the FOOD TRUCKS ! Living out here in Arizona I do MISS THEIR FOOD !!!
I always liked to imagine that H.P. Lovecraft, during countless nighttime walks throughout his beloved city of Providence, stopped here for refreshments.
Great burgers
must go to place if you visit Providence
Their hot dogs are good awful.
