Theme workaround + VT virus notification So VirusTotal is showing two false positive flags. I threw the latest Vencord version into my malware testing VM, things looked all good and there was nothing of concern. If there is at any point a valid concern about people's account privacy, I would rush out a video and take down the offending content. (Translation: there's no virus, if there was you wouldn't see this video no more). As someone who does not have access to themes despite paying for Nitro, I can verify this is true.

The dumbest part is they had the audacity to release it as a nitro only feature and limit it to exclusively preset color schemes and NOT think to give them the ability to choose their own colors, because if they did that the nitro requirement would be more justifiable

Ive been using better discord for about 2 years now, and I tried Vencord a few days ago and I think it's great! For me, betterdiscord was very slow or laggy, and when I used vencord, it was pretty fast and didn't lag.

Personally I hate that they lock things like this behind a paywall so it's nice that there's work arounds.

I'm a Nitro sub and themes are awesome, though as someone else mentioned it'd be cool if free users could have the presets and subscribers could have those plus custom ones.

This guy is literally the best discord content creator I've seen on youtube. He even gives us a "mwuah" at the end.

every time discord puts out a new update, I always have the slightest bit of hope that its an actually meaningful update with new features that aren't always nitro exclusive. unfortunately i am a hopeful fool, for the sliver of hope, of desperation, is quickly crushed in the greasy hands of Discord itself. i am so exhausted.

I remember when changing tags used to be free in discord.

I've been watching your videos for awhile now, and I just noticed that I wasn't subscribed. I like how your videos are quick and simple and your voice my gawd it's so relaxing

Had to go through a few extra steps (force closing via Task Manager didn't work, and had to re-run vencord after restarting app because there was an update for Discord) but it works! :3 awesome tutorial

for discord its not worth the hassle to detect and ban client mods especially because most only affect the individual using them and not people. it just takes away resorses that could be used for development or to deal with bad actors

It optimizes Discord by a lot. Even on my semi-beefy PC, Discord loads a lot faster. It's kind of like Optifine or Sodium/Lithium from Minecraft.

The best thing about ntts videos are that you can see ntts subs saying their ideas that are either shitty, brilliant or just a regular opinion

Saw this update and was waiting for this video

I think, as Riot did with some users of Skin Changer (and others game too), they will eventually (at least) warn people to stop using Skin Changers for Discord as it's behind a pay wall to acces them. They don't have a problem (I think) with using custom features that don't bypass the pay wall, but this... this could be the end for customisation. I remember in the early days of Better Discord using some of those themes that are currently behind Nitro on official Discord. Maybe, MAYBE they somehow got those themes from that one person that I was using them.

somehow if you enable the nitro themes on a modded client, then go to a non-modded client, the themes are still in effect.

Simple, better discord has more users, generally worse performing plugins and is more focussed on users instead of developers

turn on high contrast mode! Some of the accent colors are fucky but it is jet black.

There are a much easier trick which involves abusing the themes preview since it only resets to default when you press anywhere but you can still scroll and you can type messages

Yo! i realized something cool! I joined discord on 11 June 2020, same day as you, and infact 11 june is my birthday! lol i joined discord on my birthday and so did you (and in the same year!)

Sadly many discord servers is aware of BD things, so if you are catched (like a sent screenshot with a discord that has custom theme and etc), you will likely get banned (and maybe even reported lol)

It really depends. Just follow the server rules and you'll be fine. If you're unsure, ask a moderator. Generally speaking, them seeing your theme isn't enough to warn or mute or ban, but talking about it or (especially so) saying what client or mod you use is punishable.
