​@@zwxyer Discord doesn't do much that's shitty regarding Nitro. Nitro, and really everything Discord monetizes, is so non-essential and non-obtrusive that it's hard to care. The fact that the only practical thing you get out of Nitro is bigger upload limits (which is completely fair imo) is a blessing. Nitro is not at all necessary to use Discord to its fullest. 90% of the shit people complain about with Nitro is an overreaction. At most the idea of adding the Nitro upsell with emoji's is annoying, and would just look ugly. Even if they add lootboxes, what could they possibly contain that would ruin the app? The only thing they could possibly put in there would be the same silly customization stuff they already sell, but that stuff is already available directly, so there wouldn't be much point.

Did you know how lootboxes for banners work on clash royale? Maybe its similar here. Its lootboxes but its really limited amount like 15 on season and you cant get duplicates. so its not that you will be spend unlimited amount to get something rare. Just you can buy what you want
