Honestly, this is one of the best moments ever.

In the german version it says +1 Kim trusts you +2 Kim BLINDLY trusts you It's intresting because in that situation he really cannot see his assailant and blindly trusts your words. What a great game

I want to point out that there's only two times in the entire game where Kim invokes the word "god": After he misses trying to shoot down the hanged man, and before he shoots the merc through the helmet eye slits.

I got it with like 29% and only realized after reading up on the event after how lucky I was. Also got CRAZY lucky for the end sequence (everything on the final island) and hit every single check, including two below 20%. Guess my game was possessed or something.

For those who want a horrific fun fact about using the firebomb instead of the gun. Not only does the mercs bulletproof armor not protect them from fire, it actually makes their deaths even more excruciating due to the heat build-up. Korty is literally cooking alive in addition to being on fire.

I must replay the game and earn this happy ending. Poor Titus and his posse didn't survive my first attempt at the tribunal. I went to it without the gun, imagine that! Does having the gun help during the tribunal?

@@Ptaku93 There's still hope. If you don't have your gun, if your Inland Empire skill is high enough, you have a chance to craft a molotov that can still serve the same purpose as a loaded gun when the time comes. Just don't expect it to come without a cost in its own way. Bratan.

Lol the "I am the Law" bit feels out of place in your sentence but in a good way. Like you have a compulsion to make sure *everyone* knows you are the Law.

I've never, EVER, been this tense while playing a videogame before. I swear, it was like the guns were also pointed at *me*.

you dont need a first person shooter 3d ultra realist graphics to make one of the best tension-action scenes in whole story of videogames.

The tribunal is one of the most intense and memorable moments in video game history, as far as I’m concerned. Standing in the middle of two armed groups with no weapon of my own... I was shitting bricks the whole time.

Then once you make the shot, the shift to the visual calculus theme is so nerve-wracking. I had a 50/50 chance on dodging the bullet, and that theme combined with the quick analysis by my skills ("0.6 seconds left until total annihilation") was amazing. I never actually felt such tension before in a video game fight.

Pretty incredible how a game with zero combat mechanics has one of the most intense firefights in gaming lol.

HoboCop folds arms. HoboCop says nothing. HoboCop opens fire! 25% chance to hit Mercenary. Roll... Green! 25% chance to dodge bullet. Roll... Green! 5% chance to dodge bullet. Roll... Red! 95% chance to warn Kim. Roll... Green!

I love that in Korean, it say “Lieutenant trust you.” and “Kim TRULY trusts you.” Shows lot of weight in that concept of trust simply by changing up the way you address them.

Logic- Medium: success The only way to get that double barrel 9mm is that Ruby killed herself, considering Harry carrying it that means the suicide is likely canonical. Volition- Easy: success Or they did it to look cool in the cover art. Suggestion- Easy: A cool man with a cool gun, nice.

Reaction speed - trivial: “Boiadero quick draw time” Composure - impossible: “*quick* draw? I don’t know about that one, chief. I’m barely keeping your hands from shaking right now..”

PROTECT KIM AT ALL COSTS

This scene was the most tense, genuinely tragic damn failure my sorry ass cop ever failed at. There the sorry ass cop ran straight between hell-bent war parties and spoke truth. Hate and evil did their damn best to kill him, but I guess my cop hadn't said sorry enough yet.

By being the best cop you can be, you actually get a bonus of +2 to the Authority check to get Kim to turn around because Kim *truly* trusts you, which is just *chef's kiss*

I really love the guitar in this, makes it feel like an old Wild West shootdown (which I guess it is!) Very reminiscent of the Call of Juarez Gunslinger main theme (I listened to that so many times, this song reminded me just of it).

No words would be enough to explain how I feel about this moment in the game, I liked the Hardie Boys, I was so worried about Kim, I had no idea what to do. I felt a huge despair when everything was out of my control, this game is wonderful, it was the most immersive moment I've ever had in a game

The tribunal was such a badass moment in the game that I wish it was turned into a live action remake, in the style of Guy Richie's action scenes.

Maybe my favourite video game moment of all time. So insanely hype and satisfying.

It's interesting how Kortenaer made his brother sort of... dignified again. When you first see the body, it's just a stripped blob of muscles. The only remarkable things about it pertain to the case. It's very... dehumanized. But once Kortenaer talked about him, I felt like he talked about an actual person that lived and deserved to be remembered. It's not just some corpse you investigate at the beginning of the game. Although it probably wasn't intentional, it's of note that games, films, and books rarely go for this kind of thing.

Also to add, in my run I had failed to get my gun so I had no weapon except the Molotov cocktail I'd made after deciding to trust my tie.

I understood like, only %40 of this game with all those extra non-english words used, political, scientific and other such terms (not a native speaker). But holy hell did this game left a *deep* mark on me.

@@boran2796 Tare: an allowance made for the weight of the packaging in order to determine the net weight of goods. Tare is used in the game to mean empty bottles (packaging for liquids). So I wouldn't say there's no connection, but I've definitely never seen the word used in that sense before.

My first playthrough I went in without my gun. I had Ruby's, but no bullets, so the only thing I could do was talk the mercs down. I will never forget that stress.

BIG OL' SPOILERS HERE I just finished the game today, not only do i just love this theme and had to give it another lesson, god this sequence was amazing, that shiver I got when walking up to the whirling and harry saying "im not ready for this" and me having no idea what hes referring to, then the whole situation, i was holding my breath almost the whole time and clutching my fists hoping to GOD that my skill checks would pass. I did not get the best outcome to what I have found online since (dont worry I was able to save kim), but every step of the way I was tense, I loved every second of this game, the way it can jump to goofy antics with your straight man partner to back to back officers against immesurable odds, man it felt awesome... and pretty sad, guess that sums up a lot of the game now i think about it doesnt it

There are many, many Harrys in this world. Dirty, beat down, innocence lost, with hearts of gold. Please remember this, as while there are many Harrys, there are few tribunals at which they can redeem themselves, and fewer still will be those that see this moment of redemption.

I missed the mercenary captain with my tie molotov, and I thought I would get a game over. At least I was able to save Kim.

Does nobody else recognize this? It's almost exactly "Armed With Death" from Telltale's Season 1 of TWD. I went into sony vegas and mashed them up, very crudely, but the horns, the chord change riffs, and the strings almost all go together. I frankly want to hear someone properly mash the two together as a cover/remix.
