The roll to dodge the shot is always guaranteed to fail no matter what. In my first playthrough I rolled double 6 on it which normally always succeeds, and it confused me a lot

when I played I was using a full physical and motorics meathead guy, so when I got "Physical Instrument [Godly: Success] - If you waste time, people will die" without any of the other skills talking I was like OK *shrug* and decimated them immediately. I was even able to save kim despite low base authority stat through the power of drugs. PHYS build >>

I played a charisma-less himbo gun god eith occasional bouts of math genius. The mercs never stood a chance. Harry was on so many drugs he could probably booger flick the bullets aimed at him midair.

That tribunal is certainly a dangerous situation. Three mercenaries in top-tier Fairweather ceramic armor, two without helmets and one with a helmet, at least one revolver and a vehicle-killer rifle. Compared to the two detectives' 9mm pistols, the mercs have a significant advantage. Just the Fairweather T-500 ceramic armor alone is an advantage, durability unknown but most certainly high. Only known weak spot: the slits in the helmet's eyes. And Kim made that shot with a single-shot 9mm pistol. It's interesting to see that some of the skill checks are inevitable failures. It makes things fair enough.

Nah I’ve seen ways this shakes down where both checks are successful but winding up in the hospital is gonna happen, I think the only really inevitable shot you take is from the leader when he gets up after your shot. You can totally dodge the mouthy second’s shot, though.

For sure, the Major's shot is unavoidable, in order to transition two days. It's just often painful to see an unlucky snake eyes, since it's a critical fail.

They ain't inevitable failures. I got some of them with 17% chance. I managed to dodge the first shot. At least that one wasn't

​Yeah, no doubt that the first shot can be dodged. It's just hard to dodge due to a critical fail snake eyes. The second shot from the Major with the difficulty of Impossible? Even when you succeed, failure is inevitable. The shot has to be taken.

Kortenaer's bullet hitting the hip, the one section of your body that you can't find armour for, the fact that regardless of stats the roll of dodging it is guaranteed to fail. It feels like fate rolled a double-six against you.

Not sure, maybe requires a contextual check from one of the political vision quests in the days leading up? The tribunal is heavily influenced by what you do in the build up.

@@The41stPrecinct apparently he's supposed to run when you try to convince the mercs that joyce wouldnt approve of the tribunal, so i guess it's bugged at one point kim mentions the casualties as being 6, the krenel mercs and the three mandatory hardie deaths, but he also mentions shanky as having been killed too, which should bring his count up to 7 overall probably just an unfortunate bug that showed up in this recording

@@twinblade273 oh, that makes sense, they didnt commit to it enough to give shanky time to chicken out kinda weird how they didnt quite account for that in kim's description of the aftermath, but i guess it's a pretty odd set of circumstances that this slipped through the cracks

@@The41stPrecinct Shanky can run away during the conversation, that is the only other one. Though if that happens, the surviving Hardies talk about wanting to kill him for running, if they find him.

Does anyone know what Kim’s dialogue is if you get shot and say “I was lying Kim, I remember everything” or something along those lines.
