Disclosure: The First WIP Minutes of An Arma 3 Cinematic Project

Ойындар

Disclosure is a cinematic series that aims to connect my Arma 3 gameplay into the larger existing Arma 3 lore and universe. Our protagonist arrives at a journalistic office seeking to expose horrible truths whilst brining closure to what he has witnessed over the years. The first full episode features flashbacks and/or nods to the Liberate Sahrani series whilst providing some much needed closure.
We hear about the exploits, triumphs and failures that marked the campaign. The viewer also gets to meet a younger but very recognisable character.

@@HazBofficial Yes and no, I have few missions in preparation, but time and inspiration aren't here yet to make me fully work on them

HazBoooooooo! Welcome back! It’s been ages and I was starting to wonder! But now I see what’s been keeping you busy! Looks really impressive, mate! And ambitious too - that’s awesome! Loving the style so far and you have me hooked in for what comes next 😊….one simple correction, “A Arma Machinima” should be “An Arma Machinima” 😉 Really glad to see you back, mate!

Hey Glenn, so sorry my dude. I've been absent for so long without any updates. I got stuck in a rut and didn't wanna move onto different projects without bringing some closure to Liberation. I tried filming something a while back and, well, I just didn't like it, I had spent so much time on it aswell so it just sucked the motivation outta me. Then lately I just had these mad ideas which would allow me to pursue other things whilst closing the door on the unfortunate technical issue that ended the liberation play through. I've enjoyed learning new things like keyframing wthin Arma. Started investing time in rule of thirds, types of shots and the like which will hopefully reflect in future progress. Anywho, short story to one side thank you for your continued support mate! Means a lot.... and I'll correct that little oversight lol

@@HazBofficial yeah, I think we’ve all gotten like that from time to time! I started making my own Arma 3 map about a year ago. Spent ages on it, then hit a wall and haven’t been back to it for 6 months. I invested huge hours in it (it’s pretty difficult !). But now we have Reforger, I might try building it there - should be much smoother and easier to build, but kinda feels like climbing that mountainous learning curve all over again! Anyway, I’m looking forward to your next inspired project!

Thanks johnnyboy...Me too, no really lol. Just itching to get ideas from brain to paper to screen. I, of course, have the general direction but alot of things are organic and growing as I build sets, introduce elements and link scenes to the overall narrative.... Which is crazy exciting but crazy scary if I have a creative block.

@@HazBofficial I know the feeling man, its a ton of work. What helps me with mission or cutscene building is to work it out on paper as much as possible first, to reduce dev time. I say that, but I always get inspired/distracted and rathole in different directions once I'm the editor though...haha.

Nice job! I would suggest to use some modern font for the cutover scenes text and slower animation. Would fit better to the atmosphere this cinematic has!

Thanks Erik, Yeah think your right. These opening mins are slower pace and the text animations dart off and mosaic. I may actually opt to keep the text in place or with very minimal 'float' and emphasise a slower mosaic appearance/disappearance of the text. One of the reasons I posted the WIP was for feedback like this, every little helps. Thanks again!
