If you look at the left hand of the screen, you'll see that the Monark Bass is being sent to 2 busses (3&4) one of those will have a chorus and an eq on (Bus 3). What he does is just rolls off the EQ on the low end of the bass when it hits the bus, using the Bus EQ. That means that only the top high end of the bass is being effected by the chorus, that means you get the effect on the bass ( which with a chorus is width) but no phasing or other problems in the bottom sub part of your bass that you want to stay defined and punchy.

Mimoo Music Not quite. The best thing to do is to try out the technique in FL when you try it out it will make more sense. But if you have the Eq on the Bus signal, you’re not effecting the original bass, just the bus signal.

Can somebody tell me why have 4 separate guitar channels when it is just one sound? Would you not just do that on one channel?

It's for stereo width. It's probably four different takes, two panned left and two panned right. Since there's small differences in timbre and timing in the takes it gives it a very wide sound.

Michael ok Michael, thank you very much. Also another question as you seem the man in the know. When I start recording my electric guitar into logic would I be best recording 2 or 4 separate takes of the same sequence and panning them separately??

@@theclinkmusic It depends on the sound you are after. For a wide sound, hard panning two separate takes right and left is the way to go but that might not sound good for all guitar parts. A guitar solo for example is both hard to double and sounds out of place widely panned, IMO.

@@musicalstreams I think I'm starting to understand. You guys repost streams from other people. And if the creator of those streams does not like that being done, they should send you an email stating they want you to delete their stream from your channel. Is that correct? Sorry, all of this is confusing to me.
