For sharpening the mower blades with a angle grinder, try a flap disc around 60 grit. Also a belt sander can put a really nice edge on mower blades.

That sure is pretty country down there. Those black berries made me hungry. Guess I'll have to go out and pick some too (they're in their prime right now. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for giving us info on that Dallas grass. never heard of cattle getting brain issues from eating hay.

We got dumped on with solid daily rain until early July. We usually cut late June so the grass and vetch got up to shoulder high. I had to bring in heavier equipment to bale it! It even jammed my cutter about every 40’. There was nothing to do but keep at it. But this year only two cuttings.

I love doing hay .

The Brown does a good job

As a “turf grass professional”….You’re 100% correct by cutting at about 4”. Less stress on the plant, faster regrowth.

They don't hold a edge once you start grinding on them,no matter the angle. Imo
