Thank you for posting this vid, I used it last year as a reference for upgrading my Acer E5-571P. There are some minor structural differences between my laptop and the one in the video, but all the screws, cables and wires were all in the same spot as in the video. Thanks to you, I was able to more confidently install 16GB RAM, an SSD and a secondary HDD for my college laptop. Again, thank you! And please, keep up the good work!!

Thank you. I watched this just to learn how to access the Hard Drive area. Since there was no access panel, I see I had to disassemble the laptop. It is like breaking into Fort Knox just to do a hard drive replacement! Thank you for the video. It cut my time in half!

I am extremely grateful to you for having made this video. It saved my bacon. Why can't the manufactures make it easier to replace RAM and hard drives. With older models there was a nice service panel. Damn stupid that you have to take the entire motherboard out to replace the RAM.. Just more to go wrong if you damage one of the delicate wires or connectors.

Thank you, kind sir. I've managed to replace my HDD with a new SSD. Those thin cables got me anxious at first but you made it seem so simple that I tried, and it worked. Sadly, my caddy adaptation in this model (9,5mm) did NOT work for either the SSD or the removed HDD. Windows would recognize either device, but it was completely inaccessible. Trying to format the SSD in the caddy made the PC hang and display corrupted sector messages. I connected both drives to my main PC and copied the drives there. Maybe I had a faulty caddy, who knows.

Yes definitely - have to disassemble everything just to simply change memory modules, why cant they just simply leave them under trap doors like old days with screws like the old days leaving our lives simpler, but then again I can understand companies doing this as of the warranty thing ... I been fixing laptops since 1994 if not before and theres always been some form of a way for us to just to simply replace the memory modules for customers with in a few minutes instead taking ages.

I only wanted to add in an additional 1 stick of ram and ended up dissasembling the laptop. My hp was way easier to handle. Just slide off the back panel and bam, the ram and hdd is there, no screws required. (You will need a screw driver to remove the hdd from the hdd plate holder thingy though)
