I've watched this video two times. Once when I changed the hard drive and now a year later when I added some much needed RAM. Awesome video! I couldn't have done it without you sir! :-)
*Amazing guide! Thanks to you, my laptop got more RAM and everything works. : D*
Thank you for posting this vid, I used it last year as a reference for upgrading my Acer E5-571P. There are some minor structural differences between my laptop and the one in the video, but all the screws, cables and wires were all in the same spot as in the video. Thanks to you, I was able to more confidently install 16GB RAM, an SSD and a secondary HDD for my college laptop. Again, thank you! And please, keep up the good work!!

i have that same laptop, did you upgrade it using an ddr3l memory or an ddr4l one? I've seen some confusing info out there and i don't know which one to buy to make the upgrade
Thank you. I watched this just to learn how to access the Hard Drive area. Since there was no access panel, I see I had to disassemble the laptop. It is like breaking into Fort Knox just to do a hard drive replacement! Thank you for the video. It cut my time in half!
thank you so much my man because of you i could open up my acer safely and upgrade to 8 GB of ram all went well thank you once again for this awesome tutorial :)
I am extremely grateful to you for having made this video. It saved my bacon. Why can't the manufactures make it easier to replace RAM and hard drives. With older models there was a nice service panel. Damn stupid that you have to take the entire motherboard out to replace the RAM.. Just more to go wrong if you damage one of the delicate wires or connectors.
thanks for this amazing tutorial! everything is shown so well and in detail that even i could do it ;) keep up the good work
I've been loking for this laptop tutorial for a week. Then I find out that EVERYTHING NEED TO BE DISASSEMBLE JUST TO CHANGE THE RAM. Oh god, btw Thank you for this great vid. Thumbs up
wow crazy have take whole laptop apart to upgrade ram wow

Thank you for speeding through the boring bits! There’s nothing worse than watching somebody unscrew 18 screws in real time!
bless you whoever you are... thank you for uploading this on youtube for us who own this type of laptop model.
Thank you so much for this detailed video. I'm going to upgrade my ram and switch to ssd next week. I will definitely be referring to this video step by step.
Thanks a lot. Instruction was helpful and succeed. It saved 100$ of installation charge. Good work. Thanks again.

Thank you very much indeed. Your video was more than useful to me. A huge appreciation. As for the design of this Acer model, instead, I wish to those who developed it to be rewarded with the same coin...
Thank you for this video. You saved me from a lot of headache!
davvero i miei complimenti! Per il video fatto bene, breve e soprattutto preciso. Mi sei stato m olto utile per capire come rimontare i bus tra piastra e tastiera che non ne volevano sapere di riagganciarsi.. Grazie!!
Thank you very much, I changed the hard disk thanks to your tutorial
Thank you, kind sir. I've managed to replace my HDD with a new SSD. Those thin cables got me anxious at first but you made it seem so simple that I tried, and it worked. Sadly, my caddy adaptation in this model (9,5mm) did NOT work for either the SSD or the removed HDD. Windows would recognize either device, but it was completely inaccessible. Trying to format the SSD in the caddy made the PC hang and display corrupted sector messages. I connected both drives to my main PC and copied the drives there. Maybe I had a faulty caddy, who knows.
Thanks for the tutorial m8. My laptops fan clogged completely and i had to disassemble the laptop and clean it. My laptop looks the same on the outside but on the inside it's a little different. The power button/touchpad/keyboard connections are in different places and the motherboard looks a little different. (E1-570G)
Yes definitely - have to disassemble everything just to simply change memory modules, why cant they just simply leave them under trap doors like old days with screws like the old days leaving our lives simpler, but then again I can understand companies doing this as of the warranty thing ... I been fixing laptops since 1994 if not before and theres always been some form of a way for us to just to simply replace the memory modules for customers with in a few minutes instead taking ages.
Awesome video. Saved me a ton of headache👌🏻
they really should make these computers easier to mod..

They would never do that, since they want consumers to purchase an entirely new laptop when their current one encounters an issue. The only way you get easy access to the internals is if you purchase a business-class laptop.

fixing the cooler always requires to take out all other parts although the cooler is a crucial part that can destroy the CPU by overheating
Thanks, helped me a lot to change the old HDD with a new SSD.
Awesome video for such a difficult design to deal with.
2:42, thanks, I looked at other videos, none of them show how you flip the white comb brush cable locking mechanism.

Thanks to let me know and given the knowledge about RAM type thanks a lot for me
It has the same structure as an E5-551G-812L. Thanks!
Süpersin. Çok teşekkürler. gerçekten harika bir iş çıkardın. bu acer yöneticileri de kötü tasarım yapmışlar.

Its not just Acer, there all doing it .. the fact is they dont want you breaking the warranty seals ..voiding the warranty or you end up opening it loosing half the screws !! and if your an engineer there doing it to make our lives a misery its too time consuming!! ... Apple are a joke !!!

They seem to have improved the design. I have the E5-576g and it has an upgrade bay that can be easily accessed by removing 3 screws. It exposes the 2 RAM slots, 2.5" drive slot and m.2 drive slot.

I have the same computer, last year I have upgraded it, from 4 to 8 gig of RAM and from the HDD to SSD, and from windows 8.1 to 10, The only thing is that I could not find the Ram version 8 gig to bring it to 16, Now It's a really Beast! It's much Faster than ever before, I hope to find a compatible stick and to install Windows 11 soon, but first the eleven

thanks so much man, i just upgraded my 4GB RAM into 16GB RAM ( 2 stack of 8GB). I have to say that this disassemble/upgrade/assemble has been a real challenge for me, also it was the first time for me to something like that, without your video I wouldn't be able to make it. NB: You covered the laptop model info in the video, I assume is for praivacy but there is no other motivation? i mean, what can somebosy do with that infos? thanks again.

The main laptop at present is an ACER E5-571 and I occasionally have change the hard drive and its under the keyboard and I have to remove more than 2 screws frustrating ... leave the traps doors oh my it gets on my weenie :D --- oh my I remember having a M2010 DELL XPS that was as pain in the bottom too had to nearly take the whole panel off .. screen was good though 20" :D it was heavy ... graphics card needed re-baking all time ... Dell cutting corners as per usual ...

Venka other acer models had easily removable ram. This one, like mine appearantly had the ram cover plactic welded with the back panel. Yeah. I only wanted to add in an additional 1 stick of ram and ended up dissasembling the laptop. My hp was way easier to handle. Just slide off the back panel and bam, the ram and hdd is there, no screws required. (You will need a screw driver to remove the hdd from the hdd plate holder thingy though)
