Also "Pause Windows update" doesn't effect Delivery Optimization, today, despite having Windows update delayed for 1 month, suddenly my laptop starts to burn, so I open my task manager, Internet is at 40% by Delivery Optimization, and indeed in "Delivery Optimization" under "Activity Monitor" it consumed 3GB From Microsoft, and since to respect my mobile internet limits I need to keep it at 0.5GB/day, there would be no internet for me this week

@@guillemsl : I wouldn't worry about it Microsoft does clean it up every couple of weeks if you leave it, i dont even bother anymore, there is a lot of overblown hype on the internet these days, since i stopped tweaking windows my system has run buttery smooth for months now, just dont worry about it, my advice.

"some settings are hidden or managed by your organization" the options are greyed out and I can't change them. any suggestion is greatly appreciated sir and thanks for the video

Hey @Liron Segev i often hit the data capof 2gb whenever i connect my laptop using my mobile hotspot, when I checked what's consuming all the data i got to know the culprit was "service host network services" Is there a way to stop it from using my data, will stopping it cause any harm?

I watched your full video and agree you had a nice video that explains what delivery optimization does to your internet and well done! Already I had turn off the options that you show in video etc but the last days the delivery optimization started downloading often per week and using my full internet speed at(7mbps ouch) I even tried to disable the delivery optimization by the services but even as disabled it keeps downloading. I guess this is a message from Microsoft that telling to low speed internet users I don't care what you do but you have to download my stuff no mater the cost!

So I have a question. so if I have it off and I am updating my pc, does that mean im still taking other computers files for the update requirement?? and also what happens if the update couldn't update fully and needed that on?? do you just turn it back on😁?

Do you have any methods to regain control of sliders? They removed the ability to adjust them.

what are you using for password saving and auto fill ?

I think it's similar to seeding a torrent file and keeping connection with other PC's could help you download faster and when you let others use your bandwidth, it enables them to download their content faster same time being.

Dude, my upload settings are not changing from 50% to 5% and monthly limit from 500 to 5gb, what do I do?

I have windows 11 now and even after turning the delivery optimisation off it still using 6-7 mbps of my 12mbps line... Any fix for Windows 11

Thanks Liron . Yes I just discovered this accidentally myself after downgrading from win 8.1 to Windows 10 . I turned it off to stop stuff coming from other computers . I can't see where to stop my computer being hijacked though . This is the straw that breaks the camels back . I have had it with the corporate criminals at Mafiasoft . I have kept my computer going for 15 years now with repairs and alleged upgrades , tinkering etc. but it's time to give Mafiasoft the flick . Might go a new Apple computer or a new computer with Linux .

Discovered it was the “update suite” that is included in win10. There are 5 of them, yes, 5.... Delivery Optimization, Microsoft Edge update service, Update Ochestrator service, Windows update, Background Intelligent transfer service. To shut down you must go through the “properties” button on the right hand click. But they will restart after a couple of restarts.

I am getting 40 mbs a second taken by delivery optimization. I have shut it down, limited it. Shut it off in registry. And it still is using all of my internet speed.

This did not stop it for me.

It IS your choice whether it happens or not and it's OFF by default. This uses bit torrent technology which means it's using a very small amount of data.

Nope - its on by default. Also about the size of the data is not the point at all. Its my bandwidth! There are places in the world where you pay per Mb so I am literally paying for Microsoft to update other people. You think this is ok?

You DIDN'T solve the problem. I have a small system that does very little & has only a 32GB boot drive. I honestly don't care if the update comes from Microsoft servers or from random people, but I DON'T want MY computer to be storing an extra Gig of data on it to use the 1Mbps upload speed its connection has. Just an updated version of windows with all optional features off leaves less than 6GB of free space. Yet I have to manually go in & clean out the 900MB-2.4GB

I just delete delivery optimization files at disk cleanup
