Some of those horn players are Prince alums, so you know they're bringing the funk. They play regularly with Cory - (who's from Minneapolis as well) - in his band Cory & The Wong Notes. But he's probably most known for being part of the insanely great Vulfpeck. To really hear the horn section shine in this collab, check out their cover of Thriller - they take a funky 4/4 banger and squeeze it into 12/8 time. And the horn section is worth the price of admission alone.

Fun fact. Cory wong and Dirty loops did a whole album during covid, they never met personally during the making of the album. During this video they are not in the same room. Dirty loops are in Sweden while Cory wong and the guys are in the U.S. They just got the same kind of background and edited it.

‘Turbo’ Is insane 🔥🔥🔥

Thanks for another DLoops reaction, guys! It’s all been said here, but yeah, Cory and his horns recorded and filmed all their bits in the US, Minneapolis, whilst DLoops did their thing in Sweden. They bought identical props (carpet, lighting, etc), set up identical camera and lighting angles, and later Aron edited the visuals together. Also his playing on this track 🔥🔥🔥 The intro to this track is taken from Baywatch, hence Pamela Anderson making an appearance later on in the credits ;) Cory and Henrik have a lil talk about the making of this album on Cory’s Wong Notes Podcast, and it’s as much fun as it is informative. Just to add a bit to what’s been said about his horns here: Some of them are members of the Horn Heads, a legendary group of session horn players who toured and recorded with Prince and many other Greats. Dive into the rest of this album, and you’ll discover some genius horn playing. As well as more solos by Henrik ;) He’s a beast on bass… But so is Aron on drums -check out some of his fills here on this track 😱 “Thriller”, “Turbo” and “Ring of Saturn” are three more tunes from this album who come with a video. The rest is audio only. Still, mindblowing, all of it. Yes! I love DL! Henrik is a special one, but I think "you all" forget Aron alot... He is soo underrated as a drummer and rarely get's the credit he deserves. Just listen to the groove in this song and what he does on the drums. It's so easy to get lost in the glammer of Henrik and Jonah, but they both need the foundation of Arons drums to lean on so... To me Aron is a badass drummer! Be safe

Hahaha, no, there's no official name for Dirty Loops fans, as far as I know. The reason people say someone gets loopified when becoming a fan, is partly because the name of their first album is "Loopified", and "loopifying" is also the term they themselves use jokingly to describe their process of creating music, which is to take or write a rather simple pop melody and then write an insanely complex arrangement for it in their own very special way. 😁

Hello, oh what a nice reaction :-) you know Dirty Loops must be from another planet considering their musicality and innovation in the music I think you would be blown a way if you do a reaction on Next to you absolutely incredible and.... yes they can play everything live, try to buy tickets and you will understand what I mean. You'll probably get a bunch of recommendations for more Dirty Loops, and they are amazing! But let me just be the one saying you reeeeeally should also check out Cory Wong! Pure concentrated funk with and INCREDIBLE horn section and a creative and suuuper groovy drummer. (actually everyone in that band Is amazing!) I would recommend their recent video: "Flamingo" // Live in London . or for something unusual but super fun I'd watch: Tiny Instruments "Pebbles" and "Bluebird" (feat. Sierra Hull) . That one in particular would be fun for Matt to see (don't wanna spoil it but the title of that one might give you a hint.)
