Such a beautiful property, Mountain Lake Lodge located in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia was were Dirty Dancing was filmed in October 1986 released August of 1987. We only spent a few hours here but plan on coming back and staying for the weekend, the food was unbelievable and worth the trip for that alone. But if you're a fan of Dirty Dancing, this is must place to go as the lodge fully embraces the movie and has a great gift shop to buy related items.
