Impressive driving considering you haven't had long with the new physics, I love the idea of these new endurance stages that nearly reach 10 minutes. It adds a factor of maybe driving slower but more consistent. ROLL ON FRIDAY

True, those long stages taught me to not try and go balls to the walls in the first 2 minutes of the track, keep it consistent, gaining 5 seconds in the first 2 minutes of the track is pointless if you lose control and crash halfway through and get a 30+ second time penalty or terminal damage

I think dirt rally 2.0 has the best engine noises. No other game has come close for me to replicate the iconic Impreza sound. I know this was a lancer evo but still..this game captures the speed and visceral feel like no other

As a kiwi that lives on gravel roads gotta say this is super well done even like the native trees and bushes you see in New Zealand when you drive are there and look perfect. I think often roads in New Zealand don’t have that brown kinda dirt but are more grey dusty stones but other than that pretty much looks exactly like driving to work every day

The Evo VI is easily my favourite car in this game. Even with default tuning it feels so good to drive!

Thank you for this challenge. If it wasn't you, i would have no idea how quick i can be. It took me over an hour to finish the stage in 8.48,47 without tunes. I can totally agree, this stage is freaking awesome. But the pace notes are really of in three very fast sections of this track. I've been having struggles on the same places as you did. Can't wait already for the seasonal DLC's and i sure hope that Finland is coming.

Looking forward to trying this stage later tonight! Subbed

Good stuff man. That race looked like you're really getting the hang of it.

Loved Dirt Rally, stupid hard at times but always fun for some reason lol. The Dirt series are the only racing game I actually play in first person view because it *really* makes a difference when it comes to judging distance and space in general (and you don't have to worry about other racers in your blind spots!).

Agreed 100%, New Zealand in the best bunch of stages in the game👍 You nailed it, it’s the stage that allows me to get into the flow, or zone, the easiest. It’s very satisfying to put a few corners together nicely.

Great run! It'd be great to see your final recommendation on the best sim setup for rally racing once you get your e-brake and shifter.

I must say that the co-driver is the best i've heard in a rally game. Very clear instructions. In dirt rally 1.0 I am sometimes struggling to understand what the co-driver says and sometimes had calls too early or too late. In this game his calls are on pace and clear. However I did spot a bad call which said to cut but if you did manage to cut you would end up rolling in the cliff

6:50 this narrow section with the banks on both sides kinda reminded me of the NZ tracks on the old WRC games on PS2.

this stage reminds me a lot of the stages i loved so much in Dirt 2

this looks killer on the arms! is the force on the wheel softer in this game to make all the constant wrenching and cutting less exhausting?

What specifically? The numbers greater than 6 mean the distance to next track element, that's a common one for people to not get

If could afford a wheel I would play this game for hours on end... It looks like so much fun..

This is one of the best handling cars in DR 2.0 as well. Only thing that bugs me about DR2.0 is that the dash-cam is not as good as the dash-cams in DIrt Rally or Dirt 4. And i use dash-cam. And the camera adjustment range is extremely limited in cockpit view too. I hate the camera views in it compared to what we got in DR and D4. Wipers just saying hi for the win.

The reason for the banked side of the roads is to help our drunk drivers navigate the roads a bit better, it gets a bit annoying always having to lug Geoff out of the ditch on Saturday mornings, you'd think he'd learn but he's a bit of a dick like that. While code masters have done a banging job on the graphics there is a distinct lack of sheep to be seen, thus you are denied the true kiwi experience.

Yes, Germany, Sweden and Monte Carlo will be added in Season 1 of DLC.

what helps are you using? tct, abs?

Hopefully they’ll give the driver some hands in the full release
