Ah yes, in 1986 when the RS200 plowed into the crowd. 3 fatalities and over 30 serious injuries. The crowds were absolutely insane back then though..sometimes there were so many people on the road the cars literally drove through the crowd with them parting in front of the car like the Red Sea for Moses. Group B was a really bad idea. Anyway nice drive! Will be sure to check out some more of your content 👍

Yeah I got a thrustmaster t150 wheel and pro pedals, logitec shift and a cheap spring-loaded handbrake, they work fine and the quality's alright its just there's a lot of wires

Field of view in this is actually quite wrong. Compare the wheel to the car width. FOV is way too big, as the car seems so narrow. And with this setup camera should be in the cockpit (as with any setup IMO). Edit: Apparently it was DR2 issue as stated in the comments. Nice driving 👍

OMG! I’ve just started DR2 and not played much since the original Sega Rally! I did this rally track about an hour ago on PS5. It took me 11:31 to finish in a mini. I honestly thought the length of the video would only be a small section. Ha! I have a long way to go. Lovely set up and driving - shows us all how it can be done.

The rally drivers I have watched usually use the "feed the wheel" steering technique so their hands don't overlap when they steer in tight corners. Not sure if there is a right way. Brilliant driving though, beautiful to watch.

Have you figured out you can hook a laptop up and get stats in real-time w your vehicle and im talking nerdy nerdy car stuff .... air to fuel ratio burning etc.... theres a port set up for super nerdy stuff ... dirt... doesn't have that .... dirt is exactly that... dirt... and it gets left in the DIRT

You need a stewart platform. And a VR headset. Put a body tracker on the platform, and use it to cancel-out the platform movement. 👌

most cars have push to downshift, pull to upshift (because it's easier to do when fighting the g-forces). "backwards" sequentials are mainly done in "road-going" cars where people using them downshift as a means of braking (rather than to have the best gear to pull away quickly).

Great point, FinlayDaG33k! You're absolutely correct; the orientation usually depends on the car's primary use case. In most performance and racing settings, it's pull to upshift and push to downshift due to the g-forces. I appreciate the technical insight! It's details like these that make sim racing such an immersive experience.

Hey there! I actually used to have a Logitech G27, which is pretty similar to the G29 you're using. I had it for many years. I can confidently say that upgrading to the CSL DD is a game-changer. The difference is not just big, it's enormous. The level of detail and precision you get from a direct drive system like the CSL DD is beyond compare. You'll experience the road and car handling in a way that’s just not possible with the gear-driven G29. I also recommend buying the 8NM boost kit. It brings an added layer of intensity to your driving experience. It might seem like a hefty investment, but trust me, it's worth every penny for the immersion and enjoyment you'll get out of it😊

Thank you! 🙂 I used this view because DR2 doesn't natively support triple screens and it was challenging to get the cockpit view to look any good. However, I've recently found a way to optimize it, so I'm using the cockpit view on all of my more recent videos 😁 When it comes to shifting, it's simply because I was used to my Golf R mk7, but I've since change it to the other way around 😊

Unfortunately, there isn't a straightforward method, as it requires a bit of tinkering. You need to individually adjust the FOV for each car until it 'clicks' and feels right, a bit of a trial and error process 😝🤣. But the good news is that the upcoming EA WRC release is expected to have native triple screen support, which should make the setup much smoother! I'm definitely looking forward to that😁

how rally driving isnt the biggest racing sprot makes no sense. Its infinetly more challenging than the likes of nascar, indy, F1, or drifting. The ammount of skill it taakes to be able to fly through dirt and gravel roads while not losing control is absilutely insane

Totally get your point! Rally racing is insanely challenging due to its unpredictable nature. However, every form of racing has its unique trials. The precision in F1, the 'art' of turning left in NASCAR🤣🤣🤣, and car control in drifting are all testaments to that. Each is tough and thrilling in its own right.

@@ProjectSimRacing oh for sure but id also argue that rally puts all of that together into one race and amplifys it by 10 the only thing it doesnt match is the speed of nascar and f1 which makes since beacuse they arent 8million dollar cars or on open tracks. But i still watch them all when i can its just hard to beat rally racing

I can't disagree, rally is like an all-in-one extreme motorsport package! It's the very essence of racing against the elements. It truly is hard to beat. That said, there's something to love about all types of racing. Each sport, from the precision ballet of F1 to NASCAR's...unrelenting mastery of going around in circles😝🤣 brings its own unique charm. The diversity is what makes the racing world so vibrant and exciting!

Depends if you're talking about being the driver or spectator. For the spectator circuit racing can be more entertaining due to seeing a lot more cars and the frequency of which you see them same with any battles and overtakes, while rally you may see a car here and there for a second or 2 and that's it. Getting good TV angles etc would be hard to do. It's fun to see competition battling it out on the tarmac while rally is only about the timing sheets which isn't as fun to watch. As a driver top level rallying is very dangerous and can easily end with a death or a serious accident, with normal racing with all the safety gear this is unlikely to happen. So they may feel a little more comfortable.

What are your PC specs and resolution?? I'm currently running a 6800xt paired with a 12700K and 32GB of DDR4 with one 43" OLED panel. I would like to get 2 more, but unsure if my rig is powerful enough to run 3 screens. Thanks man...

I also had a Golf R mk7 at the time of making this video, so that's why I had it the other way around. But I now have it the "right" way on my vidros😁👍
