Idk why there are so many people saying this doesn't get brought up. It does. Everyone hypes up Dirk, partly for sweeping the back to back champions. And it's a stain on kobes legacy. The reason why kobe isn't shredded for the loss in the same manner as lebron is because lebron caved under the pressure after building a super team... and mocking a sick Dirk. There were 4 players on the court that outplayed him when he was supposed to be the best player in the league. It was an embarrassing performance. A better comparison in in '04 when the pistons beat the lakers and kobe took just as much heat for playing selfishly. The standard is held the same across the board, you just have to be willing to see it.

Then sprained the same ankle AGAIN the series prior to this one vs the hornets and played on it during this mavs playoff series. Because he had a fatigued team that just came back from a back to back, had a relatively weaker support cast than most championship teams, and had knee problems that year. He still gets heat for getting swept like literally any top player, but lebron gets far more because he genuinely choked. Bron's team showed up, but he didn't. All he had to do was not stand around and he'd have 5 rings.

When he got hurt Kobe was barely putting up his jersey number he was old and injured. He also had 2 major injuries in the same leg prior but he was young so he was able to heal faster. If you remember watching he could barely get his feet up to shoot the next season when he got hurt…..
