Jimmy just a little advice, when making a knife like this.. Where the handle and blade meet, there needs to be a radius, as the square section can cause what is known as stress risers in the steel. It doesn't have to me massive just a small radius with a round file prevents this take care and keep up the great work

+Brandon Darensburg No....At 4:50 he is hardening the steel which makes it very hard and brittle. It must be reheated after this at a lower temp to temper the steel and make it less brittle. Some put it in a toaster oven at 400F for 2 hours...other guys like to heat it with a torch until a desired color appears. Opinions vary BUT MUST BE TEMPERED or it will snap. Put an old file in a vice and hit it with a hammer and you will see....file will snap right in half.

Looks good +JimmyDiresta ! Something I've discovered is that its pretty easy to put a chamfer/angle/round on the "bolster" part of the handle scales (that transitions to the blade) if you clamp them up using the pins as a reference before you put the knife handle between them. I usually use belt sander +/- files. You can get all kinds of transitions that way (even carve it a bit) and if they're a bit off it doesnt matter - once it's attached to the knife, the blade is inbetween the two and you can't visually compare one side to another.

That's one mean big cutter you've got there! Great way of turning something useless into something useful. Great work Jimmy!
