The Director is a pretty "old" boat so I think Zet has done alot of improvement to in their Cross being more "modern" with high rocker ect but will be interesting to hear what you'll have to say :)

I think it still has a place as an excellent beginner boat.

I own one and you do not want to slam it back, the tail is bulbous and has a tendency to grab in cross current, I actually have mine center or forward, the low manky stuff in my area, I ride forward, in big water I am center, you have to be an active paddler or paddle in the water in it, which is my style of yak anyway.
