Directed Energy Deposition (DED) | An Additive Manufacturing Technique | Part 4

A brief discussion on Directed Energy Deposition (DED), an additive manufacturing technique, which is generally used to fabricate components used in aerospace, medical, energy, automotive sectors, etc. However, its not very elaborative discussion but intent to motivate users/readers/practitioners to learn more with its various components and understand the basics. I will be glad to receive the suggestions and queries to improve furthers. Thank you!

Why would the amount of carbon used in steel production matter? It becomes bound to the metal and N excess can prevented from escaping production facilities if needed. There are more rational approaches.
