CAD-PRINTZ® vs UltraColor Max - What's the difference and how are they similar?
Today we're breaking down the differences and similarities between 2 types of digitally printed heat transfers: CAD-PRINTZ and UltraColor Max, Direct To Film Transfers.
With the CAD-PRINTZ transfers being discontinued in July of 2023 at transfer express, we wanted to show alternative solutions if you're using a printed-then-cut heat transfer vinyl like the CAD-PRINTZ line.
All of the transfers featured in this video print on light and dark garments, and are great options for printing on t-shirts, hoodies, totes, outerwear and more!
The CAD-PRINTZ line was the precursor to full-color heat transfers before recent advancements in technology gave way for the Digital/Screen Print or "hybrid" transfers like UltraColor Pro, and of course, the cutting-edge Direct To Film printing technology with UltraColor Max.

With printable vinyl you don’t need to have white outline. You just need to put little more work in preparing the design

Yep! We offered that as an added cost, but now that we carry our UltraColor Max Direct to film transfers we no longer carry any custom printed Cad-Printz vinyl transfer.
What are the washibility comparisons between these transfers?

Great question Jerry, thanks for asking! All of our heat transfers are tested to 50+ wash cycles when applied correctly (recommended application instructions). So they both hold up the same. Machine wash cold, inside out, tumble dry low heat. We've got a video in the works featuring the UltraColor Max with wash testing coming soon.
