Ya..that urban waste album rips it..been into punk since that came out and gotta say after all the years and countless bands ive seen and heard thru the decades these fuckers belted out some of the best top notch punk/hc ive ever heard..they were one of the best bands i came across in these current times for sure.

God I love 80's hardcore! And Direct Control!

This LP never gets old.

Wow that’s fucking tragic! I saw Direct Control a few times, I had no idea. Hung out at a hardcore fest in Chicago years back. Beyond talented and all around good person.

Chicago fest!? I was there once. Was it a yearly thing? I was there on tour with my friends I Object! Can't remember what year. Maybe 2005? 2006?? I know the last day of the fest was at a smaller venue. The first two days was in a big school gym or some damn thing.

Yeah! Like 40 bands played in a big gym that didn’t sound the best and last night was at a little bar or something. After that I didn’t want to hear hardcore for a long while. I Object played on the third night at the bar if I remember correctly and were from upstate Rochester my home town, I’m in Detroit now. Although I was hungry and had more than enough there were some good performances on the third night and some bad ones altogether

Sure, Brandon, Mike and Eric (not pronounced in any kind of order as all 3 were equally important I say) were a magnificent 3 piece, but how & why are so many people late to the game? Is this another case of the shithole town I grew up my teen years in DeKalb IL's Charles Bronson being even more recognized in their end stage and more so their after years? Post recognition sucks, fools should be onto it unless you were zygotes, embryos or too young to have been into it/understanding the music.

dude for fuck sake, some people spend their youths in culturally dead places, you might say that about where you are from but if thats where a band like this is from you are to put simply DEAD FUCKING WRONG! There is places where the local music scene is like someones dad doing metallica covers in a bar once a month and the only thing they have there is either country shit or mall shit if it's in a sprawl, they have no conceivable idea that things like this even happen until they are much older and have traveled to a place where either this happens or at least there might be a bar or alternative night where people may know of underground hardcore existing. PS the internet algorithm isn't on their side either, and if they were people from this generation the internet was much too primitive then anyway. You just sound like someone angrily trying to be cooler than people they have some childish contempt for.
