People can say it is boring and repetitive but this is what the PAYING clients want. The rtw does very well. The rtw is quite beautiful when you actually see it up close in the boutiques. These runway presentations really don't do it justice. This is strange because usually the runway shows are extreme/over the top and what ends up in the stores is dull.

The ability to take the usual, make it well, and then command sustained interest? Thats is a needle in the haystack for today, where tradition is getting thrown away. Dull clothes are cheap, this here is interesting and a wise investment.

Am I the only one who thought this collection is elegant, sober and edgy? Maria had some mistakes (miss Dior, anyone?) but hey, this is an upgrade...

My problem with Dior under this woman, is there is no distinctive style. I don't have to like the aesthetic, but there must be one that is recognizably Dior. Here you just have pretty clothes, by anyone, who knows which brand. And they all seem to be very classic conservative, hence boring, because there is no signature look. Phobe Philo, The Row, Jil Sander for eg are quite different enough from each other, even thought they are the same category of minimalism, quite luxury, but Dior is just .... its just well made bland.
