@@jonasophia That's a question ! I think Hedi is a legend and he has a global vision, and Chanel need to be directed by an artistic director. Hedi is control freak and proud. At Celine and Dior homme Hedi had the hand on fashion and perfumes, but Chanel mode and Chanel beauty are two different worlds. Hedi is one of the greatest for men fashion, but for women, it's not so sure... And his style (skinny legs and hips, leather jacket, tuxedo jacket, rock'n'roll attitude, black and white advertising) is completely identifiable, but for this reason not appropriate and too banal for Chanel, which has an other level of luxury. In the 1970's Karl Lagerfeld was esteemed by the woman (Kitty d'Alessio) who had the idea to hiring him because Karl at Chloé and Fendi never copied Chanel. Today the only great figure who has great style, modernity and a sort of simplicity and who never copied Chanel is Phoebe Philo. The world is waiting Hedi at Chanel, but I guess (and I hope) it will be Phoebe. She is the best. If Alber Elbaz would be alive, he would have been one of the best for Chanel. If Alain Wertheimer (the very boss of Chanel) hire Hedi, it will be very, very exciting too, but perhaps more dangerous for Chanel.

​@@karloslargerosYou make excellent points! And you're right. Hedi likely isn't the best fit for Chanel. But in truth, no one will ever be able to fit in the shoes of Karl Lagerfeld, so it may all be in vain anyhow.

True. Not so obviously visible unless you look really closely at it. This one is DVD source vs the previous one was from internet.
